CLASH OF LOYALTIES FILM MUSIC – RON GOODWIN

Hello, i was wondering if there’s a complete music release to the Iraqi movie ( CLASH OF LOYALTIES ) or in Arabic ( Al-mas’ Ala Al-Kubra ) by the English composer Ron Goodwin, this movie released in 1983, directed by the Iraqi director Muhammad Shoukri Jameel, i only heard a suite found in the compilation album: THE FILM MUSIC COLLECTION OF RON GOODWIN posted somewhere here in this forum, this movie is not well known to the most despite starring by the actor Oliver Reed and some Iraqi actors, at least i didn’t find any resource in an LP or CD.

The score is not available either as archive or bootleg. Ron Goodwin himself stated, (When he was alive) he was unsure what had actually

happened to the 1983 recordings and that they had been missing for some time.

There is a recording of a suite on CHANDOS Records, Clash of Loyalties [Al-mas Ala Al-Kubra] : Suite � Film Music of Ron Goodwin BBC

Philharmonic Orchestra which is still available and the only recorded source of a short suite of music from the films score. The recording is

remarkably good and one I play often.
