***For Immediate Release***
With Streetfighter II HD taking the world by storm and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li hitting theatres in ’09, World Warrior RYU BLACK (aka MeccaGodZilla of NY Tributary) prepares to release the solo debut album titled "Perfect 天" in 2009.
Known for his recent work with Eric Bobo of Cypress Hill, MF Grimm, m1 of dead prez and more, RYU BLACK was compelled to put together a brand new cinematic piece featuring some of the talented indie artists he’s met and built with in passing.
"Of course we know there are many emcees worldwide that stay on their grind 24/7 making incredible music. I feel like on the indie level, the least I could do is round up some of my favorite indie artists to bang out something timeless." RYU BLACK
The album includes guest appearances from Philly’s Random (aka Megaran – ), Canada’s Masia One, Japan’s DJ SARASA, Kensho Kuma, D-life, Sim-E, Dashah, Cy Marshall, Hicoup, Arablak, Junclassic, beat battle champ – Canei, Krohme, Marink D., keen, Marianne and more…
This past Halloween ’08 RYU BLACK released the single "Chun Li" featuring Random, Masia One and DJ SARASA as a treat to set the tone for the upcoming madness. Ryu Black vouches that the nostalgic sound of the album will bring back memories of the games we spent countless quarters on at the laundromat, corner stores and movie theatres.
