Chocobo World- Need Help

I have a question about the second and third powerups for Boko in the Chocobo World game. The guide I’m looking at says that to get them, you first have to defeat the Demon King and then win 20 straight battles and then if you have moveset to 3 and Mog on standby, you’ll get the second powerup. Then do thirty more to get the third. Anyway, I did all that, but I’m not getting the powerup. Oh, and before anybody asks any of the following:

1. Yes, I rescued Coco on Level 50.
2. Yes, I beat the Demon King the first time I faced him.
3. Yes, my moveset is on three.
4. Yes, Mog is on standby.
5. Yes, it was twenty straight battles, in fact more than that and I didn’t get defeated once.
6. Yes, I know it’s a dumb game, but I’m playing it anyway and I’d like to get these powerups.
