chocobo question

how do u make a chocobo "grow up". i’m trying to get gold chocobo (i konw how i dont need anyone to explain) and it keeps saying new borns shouldn’t be mated, referring to my black chocobo. how do i make it grow up?

Go do some other things in the game. Orif theres nothing to do just catch and breed another two chocobos. This will make the others growup. I had this problem myself.

It takes about half an hour before u can breed a chocobo again so I sugest u go racing with it or do some leveling.

Well if you want a gold chocobo you first need a green one, and blue one, and a black one. to get a green one or a blue one which ever comes first, you need to get to great chocobos (the ones that run fast when you look at them in your farm to find these what you have to do is go to the island covered with ice when you are there you find the choco tracks near the left of the island when you meet a choco there it shoud be a great one (I think it says that either when you catch them or when you look at them in the farm) when you get 2 of the great chocobos you then have to mate them together (male+female of course) you should get either or a green one. when you get one of them train them in the gold saucer place until they are at a good rank and mate the green or blue with another great chocobo ( make sure you train them to be a high rank) then mate the green one or blue one with the great choco and u should get the next one (save before you mate them so you can reset the game if you dont get the oposite color of what you have) if you do get the other color so you have a green and a blue train them well… and mate them haha you should get a black choco that can run over creeks light shallow water and mountains…. then i think you either have to get another green or blue one to mate with the black one and you have to mate them with a certain Nut that cant be bought but you can find them on goblin island a small island above midgar or near it and there you get the nut when you mate the chocos together you should have a gold one and thats it.

Uhh well sure liquid fire also has the other best way to do it heres mine cause he showed me how to do most of this in the first place when I first played the game

You can get them Quickly mY way too

Well go to that place just on that peninsula with the Chocobo tracks to the right of the gold saucer if you are facing the crater

Now go here to catch the good or great ones all I remember is these ones are perfect every time

Ok here at this place keep fighting Chocobo Battles until you find one with a Chocobo and Two Spencers(little lizard heads on the ground type thing) then feed the chocobo a Gyshal green and kill the monsters repeat this until you have 4 of them then go back to your stable and put the ones you caught in it.Put a male and a Female in there. then go to the chocobo sage and buy Reagan Greens and feed it to them also get the other ones to 99 of each of he sages greens then go feed half to the male and half to the female of each kind and then go to the Gold Saucer and raise them to rank A or S if you can but A is a must. Then mate these two with a Carob nut (you can steal these off of a red Raptor thing on the fish tail shape to the left of the Chocobo sages or go get it from one on the islands to the southeast of bone village) once they are at rank A or S and you will get a green or blue Chocobo . Then throw away the Chocobo of the same sex as the Green or Blue one and keep the one of opposite sex then go buy some reagan greens only the reagan greens because the other greens affect has been given to your chocobo already so you should have 999 stamina then go feed all the greens to your chocobo and he will greatly increase and obey you. then go raise this new chocobo to rank S (he should be able to make it if you did exactly what I said).Then at rank S go ride him around or go find his treasure that you can get with him.Then go back and mate them with a carob nut and you will get the other coloured chocobo but I suggest you save before doing this Incase it is either the same colour or sex.Now go do the Reagan green thing and raise this one to rank S and mate them with a Carob nut.
Now you should have a black Chocobo who you should put Reagan greens on. Go to the Northern part of the map to the chocobo tracks in the snow and catch a chocobo with either one Jack Rabbit or Two (just catch it if it is with only a Rabbit) and you should get a wonderful one.Now go and get both kinds of greens for the wonderful one and feed it.Now go to the Gold Saucer and Raise both of them to rank S. Now go to the Island on the eastern part of the map and steal a Zeio nut from a Goblin.
Now go back and mate your black and wonderful chocobos and you will get a gold one. Go get Reagan greens and give it to the Gold one for High Stats. Now have fun:D

If you should run out of money sell your Mastered ALL materias for a lot of money Cause you shouldnt need them but only sell them once they are mastered.
