Hey guys,
I hope somebody here can help me. I think in one of the earlier Final Fantasy games there’s a character that you meet in a bar. He claims to be a treasure hunter or adventurer. I think he was supposed to provide comic relief. I’m pretty sure he appeared in a Final Fantasy game, but I might be thinking of a different JRPG game I played, in which case I apologize.

I could be wrong but I think you are talking about Locke Cole from Final Fantasy 3 on SNES. He is a thief but prefers to be called a "treasure hunter."
