BUG in chocobo game??

I have leveled Choco up to gold, dug up and collected the 24 chocograph treasures, and found all the cracked mountains and bubbling ocean treasures. I have found and opened Mognet. And still the Fat Chocobo will not finish the sidequest. (which is to tell Choco that he’s ready to live there and give me the Chocobo card)
I don’t remember having this trouble last time I played. Is there something I am overlooking?

Visit every beach(and I mean every beach) on the world map and press circle. I ‘d suggest working on one continent at a time.

Thanks for your hint, but can you be more specific? When I press circle, the chocobo just lets me off, so I guess it’s just Zidane alone when you search with circle?? I’m confused…..O_o

youre not on the chocobo when you press circle. its quicker by airship

Yeah, the beach quest basically involves you visiting every beach in the world and pressing the O button on each of them. Doing this allows you to get the Fat Chocobo card. You also get the added bonus of being able to heal your party simply by pressing the O button on a beach.

As for how you do this, I’d advise you to do what Hawkeye said. Take it one continent at a time. Maybe print off a World Map from GameFAQS and mark off the beaches you have visited to make it easier.

The thing is, I don’t think you have to finish the beach sidequest to get the scene where Choco decides that he’s going to stay with Mene and Zidane….

Is there something I am overlooking?
So, am I right in that you can’t get the scene where Fat Chocobo tells choco to stay and Mene tries to fly Zidane out of Chocobo’s Paradise? You’re on disc 4, right? If not, there’s still the Shimmering Island treasure.

As for the Healing Beach sidequest, while you’re standing on the beach, press O and listen for a chime (like the sound when you use a healing item on someone from the menu). I believe there’s somethng like 24 beaches to go to around the world.
