Blizzaga – worth waiting for?

I’m thinking about going after some Espers, Adrammelech first, and I’ve heard that Blizzaga isn’t available until you reach Balfonheim. Currently, I should be heading for Archades but I haven’t gone past the Mosphoran Highwaste yet – have been training and hunting Marks.

My characters range in level from 39 – 45, so my question is – should I wait until I get Blizzaga before going after Adrammelech, or just take him on now using Blizzara?

At your level you should be able to easily take adrammalech without blizzaga. Hes really not that difficult if you use mists. I took him out in my low – mid 30’s using a simple mist combo. There is a whole thread topic about him somewhere in these forums, probably fell to the 2nd or 3rd page. It seems im the only one in these forums that had n o problems with him whatsoever. O_o

FYI to anyone looking for help with Adrammelech:
I went in with one melee and two ranged characters, cast shell on the rangers before heading in and equipped the melee character with the Shell Shield. I had the rangers set with gambits to keep casting blizzara ("foe = highest level" was effective for this) while I used my melee character to cure, remove status effects, and attack the Shambling Corpses. Adrammelech was dead before I even had the chance to bother with a Quickening.

Yeah, you’ll be fine – the two rangers I used were level 39 and my melee character was 45, mostly there for support though. You should have no problems, but you can always equip bubble belts just in case 😉

Ok he has proven a wee bit harder than I anticipated. No bubble belts yet, dont know where to get them. I almost had him killed but he put his Paling up and I zoned, when I came back after regrouping one zone over, he was back to full health. I quit for the night and will try again today.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. If it helps, you can buy Bubble Belts from the Clan Provisioner in the Muthruu Bazaar once your clan rank gets to Riskbreaker (could be as early as Brave Companion, but I don’t think).

Also, don’t forget to use Shell – very handy for this fight.

I did the same as The Great and used Mists to waste Adrammelech which in turn killed off any Shambling Corpses in the area with my Ark Blast Concurrence….but yeah…you should be able to take him down…
