I love White mages, because I like healers. 🙂

I don’t like Black mages, because usually my characters are stronger with their pure weapon. I’m a better warrior, I guess. 😉

Really, it all depends on the situation at hand.

Although, generally I perfer to use a more defensive strategy in games, hence my preference for White Mages and healers in general (like Chemists in FF Tactics), but that’s not to say other mage Jobs like Black Mages and Time Mages (remember them?) don’t have their uses either. So, it’s ‘horses for courses’ I guess.

i prefer black mages. i dont like enemy skills (plus they are usually status changes) and i am offensive rather than defensive.

It Seem’s Nobody Has Chosen Blue Mage Yet.

I Prefer White Mages, They Can Heal The Fighter’s, So It’s Easier To Win A Fight.

I’m gonna take blue, if you look at the various FF games, Blue has a great mixture of offensive and defensive spells. Healing and status ailment cures and strong offensive spells. But it also sort of depends on the game. I loved Quistis’ blue magic and well it’s not really a blue mage but it’s about enemey skills so the Enemy Skill Materia from FF7 was damn usefull and I liked Ronso Rage from FFX.

It really depends on the situation for me. If say I were battling alone, I’d prefer a black mage. But when you battle in a group, it’s likely that your given enemy is going to be stronger, and you may need the help of all of your party members. Thus, if given the choice, I’d choose a white mage over a black mage. The only blue mage I ever found useful was Quina in FFIX because of that Limit Glove ability.

Red Mage > the other three colored.

I prefer a more defensive battle as well.

Another Blue Mage here, although FFVII and FFIX for me. FFVI’s Strago’s generally sucked — he was probably better off casting normal magic. Same for FFVIII Quistis (or just attacking normally) and I didn’t really like Kimahri all that much. I guess I liked FFV’s too — so for me it seems to follow the odd-numbered games. Otherwise, black magic for me, or just attacking physically / using abilities and white magic when needed.

Actuall, I like Blue Mage almost more than White Mage, but White Mages can heal a lot, which is pretty good. So, I think Blue and White are almost the same to me. I use a Blue Mage more often than anybody else. 😉

I think that all of them are useful. but I would say that I like white mages more. They are really useful in battle, especially when you run out of healing items, such as phoenix downs, potions,etc.. but I like them all the same. 🙂

In FFX you don’t have to decide on white/black, of course cos you can change, and you can learn white/black for all the people.

But that aside it’s Black all the way. In battle you can kill at will and you can heal after the battle no need for it in battle!!!

And blue just plain sucks donkey’s asses, and ass’s donkeys.

Hmm its gotta be blue mage for me, the mix of destruction and healing makes them uber useful either for attacking or defending

I don’t like Quina or any other Blue Mage, Except for Quistis, I found her quite useful with her Limit Breaks.

I would have to say White Mages, because they keep everyone else alive.

I like white mages the best. lots of handy healing spells to keep your party alive and their health nice & high.

Black mages, they can destroy and heal themselves with drain magic. Total awesomness. Who wouldnt want to be lulu?!

White mage only if they have offensive Holy power, otherwise total destruction with a black mage.

Sorry but the Red Mage is only Black and White Mages. Besides it’s only useful with low level magic cuz it cant cast higher level magic like holy.

For me itd have to be blue mage, come on, where else are you going to find moves like chocobuckle?

I’m going to go with Black Magic. You have to cause some havok somehow. 🙂
