On "Soldiers Back On" the music was original in mono, I put it in stereo but the sound is still monoish because the original track was recorded off and never actually from the original source.

On "Bakara Market – Briefing" I think it was, towards the end, the music begins to become static for some reason.

Exactly. the Music Download section was divided in 3 somewhere along 2010, I think.

Yeah, after a while I think they saw that the other genres, like VGM, were getting more popular, so they separated it. Moreover… That was a good decision, because VGM music is different from film/ tv music, completely different rules, so VGM deserves its own place.
