A simple trick I never had occur to me much until a few years ago, which I have recently picked up again, to enjoy an anime based video game (such as Tales of Phantasia or Secret of Mana or of course the one we’re here for) in a different way than you normally would, is to turn the saturation all the way off.

I’ve had a lot of head injuries in my life, and looking at a lot of really hypersaturated colors all the time is starting to give me dizzy spells. Putting it on black and white feels a little more relaxing.
