Despite being a big fan of John Barry, I have to admit that Billy is not his finest hour,
even though it’s the result of an extended collaboration with lyricist Don Black. None of the music is memorable, the orchestration is mostly uncharacteristic and, too often than not, it all come across as a weaker version of the ‘cheeky chappie’ type of stage show which haunted the 60’s and 70’s London musical theatre and to these ears at least sounds remarkably anonymous. Best heard by completists and the curious, it probably deserves its obscurity but many thanks for offering it to share!

Thanks for this, I had it at one time but it got misplaced. I think I may have PASSION FLOWER HOTEL somewhere, I’ll try to find it.
