Best Video Game Soundtrack

What game do you think has the best soundtrack?

I was going to say one of the FFs, until I downloaded the Silent Hill 3 one.

Yup. Silent Hill 3 ….best videogame soundtrack imo.

My favourite tracks are Lost Carol, You’re Not Here, Innocent Moon, and a few others.

Some sad piano pieces on it that makes me love it even more.

The Mario World Soundtrack. The one on SNES ^_^

I’d say the soundtrack from Ace Combat 5. It has a bit of almost every type of music you can imagine short of heavy metal and rap, many of which are quite excellent.

Streets of Rage 2!! I like the jazzy music.

The Grim Fandango soundtrack is always so memorable to evryone who’s played it. Brilliant pieces of Jazz and Southern American music.

I like Part 2 better too.

I love Micheal Jackson’s part in it. Especially when Ulala does the thriller dance.

F.F.7’s probably numero uno, the only one I can think of which comes close is Guilty Gear XX.

There are a few games with equally good soundtracks, but Chrono Cross has an awesome soundtrack

All FF soundtracks are totally awesome,the music is so inspiring and also touching i hope they can continue wit these nice soundtracks now that their main composer is gone ive forgotten his name.

i agree, all of them set the mood of the game and change the way in which you do things, it ties in perfectly with the game, like in ff7 when you go into cosmo canyon, anyone else feel it was perfect? and the turks theme was brill.

Does anyone like Matoya’s Cave or Black Mage Village?

I would say Einh�nder or Final Fantasy VII. But other game soundtracks do have really good tracks in them.

Imma say FFVIII is a personal fave.

But I love all the FF ost’s.

Also on the list is the MGS soundtracks, some choons from the Resident Evil ost’s, and the shadow of the colossus soundtrack, fucking love.

FFVIII is my favorite soundtrack. But the Metal Gear Solid ones are very good too. Always been a fan of Harry Gregson Williams :D.

Dreamfall – The Longest Journey and Spellforce have some great tracks.

Trials and Tribulations – Ace Attorney 3…because, hey, Bitter Taste of Truth/Cross examination ~ allegro/Shadow over dusky bridge and several others are too damn epic to ignore! :3 { FFIX Is too obvious to forget, also. :3 }

My favorite soundtracks are probably because they would be very nostalgic.
I would also go on to say that favorite soundtracks are probably going to change later in life.
But for now, my favorite nostalgic soundtracks are,

I’ll have to say my favorite is the Hitman: Blood Money soundtrack. Hitman: BM has the perfect set of foreboding, infiltration themes, frantic action paced pieces, and a chilling funeral theme.
