foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/)

I find this program to be excellent when it comes to sound quality and organization. In my opinion, it’s the best music player. 🙂

Winamp (www.winamp.com) works for me. Avoid iTunes entirely and still use your iPod with this (www.mlipod.com) plugin.

Because iTunes is gay.

I also prefer Winamp but iTunes lets you tag multiple files at once, Winamp doesn’t.

I use musicmatch on my XP machine.

It works…just don’t do too much at once or it can get pissy.

I’d love to find a better program myself.

I use Itunes myself, and it’s always been more than I need. I made a smart playlist called "Recently added" which I use all the time. Whenever I add stuff to my library it moves it to Recently added automatically. : )

However, I had a friend who thought songbird was the best thing since french toast. Never used it.

I use Musicmatch, too… too bad they switched it to Yahoo music, which is the stupidest thing ever.

I manually organize my music trough various folders, but I use tag&rename to mass edit id3tags on all my mp3s

I use Tag&Rename, and sort them by hand by album directory according to genre. If I used Icrap or winamp to sort it all it would get organized by artist or some other gay way.

I recommend either Foobar or Winamp like the others say but if you have Linux or if it is available for Windows, Amarok, that is a very good media player and I highly recommend it for the purpose of organization as well.

What is so homosexual about Itunes? And why is it bad? It kind of the default if you’re on a mac.

Winamp is great, Windows Media Player is nice too. But if you really want to get the job done right, do it manually file by file. It might take a while, but you know that it is done correctly.
