Which FF soundtrack is the best?

If you go to www.bluelaguna.net, it has the soundtracks for FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-2, and FFXI.

What I did was make a list of all my favorite songs from each of these games. And whichever one had the most at the end, I voted for that. And by a pretty wide margin, FFX came out on top.

I’m sorry, but I can’t just pick one OST, as I have too many favs from every FF I’ve played (With the exception of FFIII, and I don’t mean VI either). FF1, I enjoyed the theme for Matoya’s cave particularly. FFIV, quite a few there as with FFVI. FFV The Battle of Gilgamesh is a current fav. FFVII, has One Winged Angel, as well as other great tracks. FFVIII, Liberi Fatali, Cactus Jack, Man with a Machine Gun and others. IX and X had some good themes as well.

What I’m saying is, that all of the FF OST’s have great songs, too many for me to pick which one is my all time fav. As it stands, I only like a small few on the FFX OST, because Nobuo Uematsu, composed some of the songs, while two others (Junya Nakamo and Masashi Hamauzu) composed other songs for FFX as well.

Call me crazy, but I liked the soundtrack to FF Tactics a lot more than the soundtrack to any of the others.

The Overworld theme from FFVI is my favorite piece from any game ever.

There’s lots of great music in all those games though. With the exception of X-2- I hated the score.
