Best Blitzball player

Who is the best player in your blitzball team? Mines Brother at lvl54 & my next strongest is Blappa at 30 😛

I hated Blitzball. Only played it that one time to beat the Luca Goers so the storyline could progress. Plus, my Wakka is strong, he doesn’t need no Celestial Weapons for the end.

obviously brother he’s always at least two times more overleveled than all my other characters and enemies. he’s just plain awesome. thanks to him i won a game 14-0 against the Goers lol. Blitzball isn’t all that bad just gets boring eventually…

I got Wakka celestial weapon, but my god, this blitzball is booooooooring ,
and too long. It’s pretty easy to win all match with the right team.
I’d say best player is Svanda , you can find it at north of Calm Lands.

Brother, first time i played it though I never knew he existed…then the Al Bhed got him and I was pissed off. Tidus also seems to be a good player for me. Mabye because at the start I level him so much?

what would everyone say the best overall blitzball team is? I’d imagine having Tidus and Brother makes sense, and quite a few people say Blappa is good too, so who else?

Wakka (He’s kinda just there…)
Kyou and Zalitz (Defenders)
Nimrook (Goalkeeper)(although he can’t be gotten until he first leaves the Psyches. he’s the best but for some reason the Psyches can’t wait to get rid of him.)
before nimrook i use some other guy who is the 2nd best goalkeeper but i can’t remember his name right now.

Quite easy to win match with it, it becomes boring at the end.

Yea, I just started another replay of X, and I just recruited Ropp at Rinn’s shop on the Highroad. Tidus is around level 26 or so, while everyone else is 13-19. If I really focus on the game I Tidus can score 10-12 goals a game, every team is easy except those damn Al Bheds!

I seem to always have 1 of the original players still on the team, never been able to recruit Brother before. I have Jassu and Ropp on defense, and that works really, Tidus and Letty attacking people rarely get close enough to actually shoot at my goal. (Tidus wither tackle 2, Letty venom tackle)

I love blitzball, until I get everything I need from it, then I’m done 😉

Shuu took forever to get a hold of, but she had a completely full skill set when I did 😀

One word, Wedge – he’s the jack of all trades (ok not passing) but I remember putting him on most positions on the field and still being able to plow through the opposing defence and score (granted with tackle slip)

oh, and ropp’s a pretty decent defender

I agree. Wedge was up front with Tidus forever. Until I could FINALLY recruit Wakka. It took so long to level him up. We were in our 60s. Had to play catch in the spherepool for aeons. Just so he could effectively techcopy to get his key techniques.

Sadly, I never really played Blitzball in the game 🙁 I’m just not much into sports, so I never really understood how to play, even after reading the game rules every time I’d play the Luca part in the game 🙁 Still looks real fun! I guess judging from that particular part, Wakka takes the cake 😀

No not really. I always found Wakka to be way to under leveled and so never bothered to put any effort into him. I find it easy enough to live without him

Wakka’s inscription in the sphere pool is probably my most favorite thing about the game. Makes me really sad.

But, I brought him out of retirement, so no worries, I guess!

Shaami, Svanda and Kyou were by far the best on my team.
