Berserk

I’ve mentioned that Berserk was my fav anime/manga in a couple of other threads, but does anyone else like Berserk? If you’ve never heard of it, you should check it out.

Well, it’s kinda long and complicated, but it’s mainly about this guy named Gattsu, who is a swordsman in a world with demons and stuff like that. Him and his girl, Caska, were in this band of warriors, when their leader decided to sacrifice them in order to become a demon god. The whole band was massacred, except Gattsu and Caska, and they were saved by a mysterious warrior known only as the skullknight. However, Caska was traumatized, and now she can’t speak or think clearly. She pretty much wanders around like a retarded person. Gattsu still loves and protects her though, and now he seeks vengeance against his former leader and all the other demons.

Hope I didn’t confuse you too much there, but there’s SO much more too it, that you should check it out even if what I said didn’t sound good. It’s good stuff.

Yes and it comes out on April 30th, w00t! No more subtitles for me 😀 .

They already have one set of DVDs out now, on episodes 1-25. They’ve been out for like a year.

Ah, yeah I know, I have them. But they are subbed,it is coming out in english on April 30th.

Berserk is my all time favourite as well, and luckily I know a site and some persons (not IRL) who are making translations for the manga… Hmm…… something with 13 I believe…. oh well.

Yes I love Berserk, but I DO NOT want to get spoiled by the fucked up dubbed shit the american people did. I am in love with the voices the people have now. I dont want those voices to change….

Maybe a lil’ off topic, but have any of you guys played ‘7 blades'(PS2), I heard from a friend who knows ‘Berserk'(I’ve never seen anything of it) that the game is exactly like the same style. I’m playing 7 blades right now, and it’s sick ninja-style with phat swords and all. So I think I’d like berserk for sure.
Anywayz, I haven’t seen a lot of manga; streetfighter alpha(phat), ninja scroll(cool), and ghost in the shell(quite boring..), to name a few, but that friend has ordered some DVD’s from berserk, so we’ll see…

no the only same thing in style 7 blades has with berserk is the huge sword 🙂

berserk is medieval without the japanese style, more with horses and ehm… yes horse battles. Its sick yo!
