Belgemine – Calm Lands

Okay, I don’t know how EVERYONE just happened to find Belgemine their first time through the calm lands because I missed her.
I went and beat seymour flux and yunalesca and got the airship and headed back there because my buddy told me I missed the aeons soul so I couldn’t use spheres to raise my aeon’s stats. I head back, and she’s nowhere to be found? So now I can’t get into remiem temple? wtf? I went to a previous saved game when i first got to the calm lands and shes south west of the market yet she isn’t afterwards.
So, my question is, did anyone else do this and is there anywhere else to find her if you missed her the first time through?
And my last statement, what the hell were the makers thinking when they did this? Would it be so hard to keep her there if you missed her? Like, come on.
But yeah, it’d be much appreciated if anyone else faced this problem and had a solution. Even if the only solution is that I have to start from that save point again, I’d like to know it so I’m not questioning it over and over.

If you can’t get there by entering the area, renting a Chocobo, and jumping the crevice using the Chocobo Feather, I would just start over from that other save. I’m fairly sure that it happened to me and I was able to get over and fight Shiva for the Aeon’s Soul.
