Battlestar Galactica PSP comic-Early designs

During the summer i plan on creating a PSP comic of the current sci-fi show Battlestar Galactica. I’ve already begun setting up the story and whatnot but it’s still in it’s early stages.

Anyway, here’s a few designs I’ve done for it. Two character designs and one PSP sized comic strip.

Any feedback would be welcome. 🙂

Little bit of constructive criticism: Six looks a little mannish.

And please, please, please don’t use Comic Sans. There is a free repository of comic fonts somewhere on the net that has a whole bunch of awesome comic fonts.

First, there are two stories that I’d like to tell. The first story being the four months between season 2 and 3. Stories such as how Tigh lost his eye, the beginning of the resistance, and many others that are still in there early stages. The second story that i might opt for is about the 2000 humans left behind after the exodus of New Caprica. The story would revolve around 2000 humans and 800 Cylons being left behind. With no one to come and rescue either group they must live together as they have no choice. That’d be more interesting even if it had less action.

Also, I’ll gladly take any criticism that comes my way, it’s the only way i can better myself. And yeah, issues such as font is still up in the air as, like i said, it’s at its early stages.

The first thing i must do is to outline my story and then put it to paper in storyboard format. It’ll be a tough project though as each page takes enough time to finish. Here’s a few more I’ve been doing in my spare time.

Wasn’t the formation of the resistance, and Saul losing his eye covered in the Pre-Season 3 Webisodes?

Art-wise, the "There are many copies" has Six spot on 😀

Although i didn’t watch all of the the webisodes i don’t believe they showed how he lost his eye. I’ll have to check it out i think before i go any further. Also, my story about the resistance would be based on the webisodes but wouldn’t interfere with the story or timeframe.

Yeah, the last ten minutes and the build up to the final few scenes was outstanding. However, i feel that the only reason Roslin was having those dreams was because she has Heras blood inside her. Maybe she now has some kind of connection to her and Sharon because of it?. I honestly think the final cylon is a character yet to be shown. Still, it better not be Adama. 🙁

And oh man! Starbuck!

I was so pleased that she came back. After "Maelstrom" i got the impression that was gone for good. Interviews with Katee and RDM cemented the fact for me that Starbuck was gone completely. Who knew they were giving us the old switcheroo. But is Starbuck still the Starbuck we knew before?. Or is she something different to perhaps fit in with the whole "Ships of light" theory floating around?.

Outstanding season finale!.

I think it could be Starbuck bcoz every cylon tells her she has a destiny to fullfill or something like that. Also: OMG! her death! ;_;

Have u tried C&C: Tiberium Wars yet? It has 2 BSG favourites as the main cast in the FMVs.

Haha, I haven’t played the full version yet (i’m picking it up next week), but I found the cast to be hugely awesome.

If Six and Eight weren’t awesome enough, there’s Sawyer as well! Not to mention the cute chick doctor from House, even if she is being a skank and boning Chase for no reason at the moment.

haha Remember Kanes entrance in the first C&C?. He blew off Seths head and simply says "I am Kane". Lovely.

I decided to get people up to speed by extending the opening teaser. So here’s the opening sequence so far…..

Also, if you can throw them onto your PSP and see what you think. Most of the time the images look far better when displayed on the PSP.

If your putting on a PSP you might have to rename them "1"-"7" or added them to the folder in a certain way to appear in a desired order.
