This would be awesome, even if it would be just for laughs (Yes, I’m looking at you, Mariachi Gorillaz Cover! ).

Edit: and even though they practically butchered the songs.

Most covers (specially the Rock ones) are actually better than the original songs.

I’ve been searching for the Hip Hop cover of Photograph all over, to no avail.

Here’s some home rips I did of some of my favorites. Far from complete, but here’s a start.

…the next question is how did u do it? I tried recording a few songs with my phone and converting them to MP3, but that’s exactly what it sounds like, like it was recorded. Any programs you can point me in the direction of?

Here’s how I did it. It’s not too complicated and also not too expensive.

Basically all you have to do is route the audio from the Wii into your computer. First you’ll need a y-splitter cable that can accept a left and right (red and white) RCA plug and combine them into a single mini headphones plug. You can find these usually at Target or Wal-Mart. Then you plug the two audio plugs from the Wii into the splitter, then plug the headphones jack of the splitter into your computer’s line in jack (most computers have a line-in jack of some sort. While some have a designated "line-in" jack, most only have a "mic-in" jack, which will usually give you lower quality sound). Then you record the incoming audio with an audio recording program. Audacity is what I use, and it’s a free audio recorder that can export as mp3.

This process is simple and straightforward, not too technical, but it is time consuming. It requires you go to the sound test and play each song into your computer to record it. So far I haven’t found any programs that work for me for ripping PS2 and Wii audio files, so I’ve been using this method for a long time. Enjoy!

I’ve been kind of busy lately, so I’m not sure when or if I’ll get around to doing all the other songs. Sorry guys.

Much thanks, arpantz! I’ve been waiting for any songs to be ripped since forever. Hopefully you get the time to rip the rest, and if you can’t, that’s fine too. It’s cool enough you already ripped some of the songs, and then maybe someone else can pick up the rest. Thanks again, man!
