Yes please!!! I heard the new master was REALLY better!

When I start getting paid (which is likely to happen early next year) I’ll buy this set, even though I don’t want "Returns". I bought the 2010 LLL release (not Returns though) and the samples for this one have everything I was hoping the first release would have in terms of quality, specifically the distinct trumpet blasts of the title theme in "Batwing II", which for the first release I had to take a rip out of the film’s soundmix and overdub it to match. Won’t have to do that this time!

I don’t think this will show up here any time soon though, simply because many have decided not to buy it because it’s a double-dip and most have "Returns".

You never know. I know a couple members have said they were getting it. I hope it gets posted, I would like the upgrade. BUT, this is how it should have been done in the first place, and this **is** more or less screwing folks over. It’s not like the first set was 10-15 years ago….

Yeah, they said the new source was a "Digital Stereo Mix" that was found after the 2010 and the Elfman Box were both released. They also said they were always planning on re-issuing both scores because of high demand and since they had a new master, they decided to use it for this, but they defend their choice to make fans buy both at once…that is really the one aspect many (myself included) are against, either because those who have "Returns" will just have an extra for nothing, or if they’re like me they just don’t want "Returns" at all. I can enjoy that score in the movie but on album I’ve never enjoyed it at all.

Well, I sold both original versions right day before release date (Dec.2) for $48 🙂
Now I got new set.
I don’t listen it carefully yet, but as I listened several tracks (Batwing I was among them) – I can say that there IS difference.

And new booklet – it’s amazing, really amazing. So, this edition worth its money.
Especially in my case – I’d Buy That for a Dollar 😀

I think they will based on the fact that many won’t consider repurchasing for a second copy of the sequel album, or don’t see a sonic upgrade as worth the price, or out of bitterness that it wasn’t released separately, along with bitterness of it being a package deal. It’s just not as hot a sell this time around.

Either way, I’m joining you in getting it when possible, hopefully in January and not later.

I am all in for a remastered presentation from a new source. Quality upgrade alone with those missing moments in their proper sonic glory is indeed worth it along with the bigger package – the novelty of it being the 25th anniversary of the first film.

I would love a copy of the new release as well. 🙂

This is my Christmas wish. I don’t want Batman Returns but rather Batman solely. The #1 complaint I had about the first release was the sound and this new edition fixes some of that issue. Anyone who knows me know that if there’s something I want I will usually buy it the first chance I get. Unfortunately I’ve hit a major financial snag this holiday season so spending $50 for 2 albums (1 of which was perfect to start) sounds ludicrous to me. If anyone can help with this request, please don’t hesitate to PM me. I won’t share if you desire it.
