Bahamut ZERO’s Collection Of Ramblings. (Or Final Fantasy VII Fan Fics…)

Okay, I’ve started work on the second in the series of the Final Fantasy VII fan fics (well, I’ve written the prologue, which will do.) The stories themselves contain *SPOILERS* to the Final Fantasy VII plot, and so if you haven’t played the game to completion, the story will (A) Spoil that ending and (B) Not make much sense….

The first story was an entry in the Writing Contest some two months ago. As I’m lazy, I won’t repost it. Instead, if you haven’t read it yet (which is likely) click here. (http://forums.ffshrine.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2515) It’s about three or four posts down.

So, here we go. The second story (I hope to write a little bit each time I get bored until it’s complete. We’ll see.)

THE PROPHESISED EVIL.

A SHORT STORY BY BAHAMUT ZERO.

PROLOGUE.

Pain. A nagging sense of loss. A constant itching that ran through the body constantly. He had never felt pain before, although his body had been struck by various creatures. His body rejuvenated quickly, able to withstand attacks that most people would drop dead to. Pain was alien to him, and yet now he lived in constant reminder of his weakness. He was weak now, without the link that had bought him back from the afterlife.

Sephiroth stood in the wind, his long silver dreadlocks flowing behind him with his black cape as he looked down to the stump at the end of his left arm where his hand had once been.

Crippled.

The word came back and struck him in the face, causing more pain than the actual wound itself. Anger flowed through his body and he turned and cut down an unoffending tree with one huge cleave of his Masamune blade. Disgusted, Sephiroth walked down from his vantage point, the pain of the events that had led to his fall from power still vivid in his memory.

He would pay. Cloud Strife. He would suffer when Sephiroth finally caught up with him. A faint smile spread across the warrior�s face as he imagined torturous methods of extracting Cloud�s life blood from him. Cloud would feel more pain than Sephiroth was feeling now, and so would the Cetra. Had it not been for Aeris, Sephiroth would hold the Universe within his grasp.

Now that was beyond him. The Universe had been snatched from his grasp, but the world itself could still be conquered. Sephiroth hated settling for second best, but the world was better than nothing.

Determination now pulsed through his body and soul. The ache in his arm seemed to disappear as he focused his mind onto the task ahead. He would conquer the planet, and bring every last person to justice by his blade. That was the only thing now that would satisfy him…
