So yeah, as the long title states, My friend needs help gaining a stronger signal for his Wii wireless. Any tips on how to better it? His Brawl signal varies from green to red depending on how many of his roomies are eating up the bandwith.

His situation is he has 3 roommates and all 4 of them are connected to the wireless router almost all the time. Are there any port options, or a different IP he can use, or DNS address, or something? Right now I believe everything is on automatic.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

AFAIK, the strength of the wireless connection shouldn’t have anything to do with other people using the wireless. If he’s close to it and has a good antenna, he’ll get a stronger connection. If he’s 3 stories above it and has a shit antenna, then he’ll get a worse connection (less bars, whatever).

Roommates using the connection would only slow down the connection (download/upload speeds depending on what they are doing).

AS FAR AS I KNOW AT LEAST. someone is welcome to correct me if im wrong

I guess I did a bad job of wording what I meant, sorry. The signal itself isn’t the problem, it’s the connection speed. Is there a way to make it better/faster?
