Art in VideoGames?

Art? which is art in video games?

It is nice and fine textures?

The story?

Or originality?

Programming, game design, writing, graphics, and sound (including music). All of them have to work together to create an harmonious whole, so all of them are art.

Yeah. I think everything on the creative end is art.

There’s also a very strong, and often overlooked, art foundation to video games. Art design for a game can really be important for a game, if they use it right.

Videogames, like movies and tv series’, require such a commitment and collaboration…that sometimes I wonder how any games (or films or shows) even get made with all the hurdles, and amount of people collaborating. Much less a masterpiece, or something amazing, getting made.

I think if it causes an emotion in you that’s art.

Much of great Art in some Video games of course, music is key element. Respect to the programmers and directors and all stuff
