I just got my hands on a psp and I really like metal gear. I would like to get all of the metal gear games for the psp but I want to know if anyone has played them and if they are worth buying.

Well, I thought Portable Ops was fantastic. Granted the levels are very short but it feels more connected to the overall MGS mythology than the two Acid games.
So yeah, buy MGS-PO. It’s well worth it.

All Psp games are worth it really, what they lack in originality they make up in gameplay except for fighting games appearantly.

I have not played Portable Ops, but I enjoyed the Ac!d series. It was something different for the MG series. I enjoyed they card style of playing in it, and it was fun.
I have yet to get my hands of Portable Ops, but from what I have heard its great.
There is also a Metal Gear Solid Graphic novel for the PSP, but I cant seem to find it yet.

AC!D 1 & 2 are both fantastic games in their own right; but they’re not ‘Metal Gear’ as such. They’re more tactical RPGs, really – if you’ve played any grid-based combat game (like Final Fantasy Tactics), it’s got more in common with that.
Still, they’re both tremendously entertaining, and the stories are even crazier than Metal Gear Solid 2. They are side-stories to the ‘official’ MGS though – not to be considered canon.
I wouldn’t bother getting the MGS Graphical Novel – it’s kinda neat, but in the end it’s just the comic in ebook form. Nothing really special.
The fact that I have yet to play MGS:PO saddens me – but i’m waiting until MGS:PO+ comes out, now. So i’m kind of glad i’ve waited.
