A flac version exists, but not of this. Of a slightly different version (read on)

Many thanks, didn't know a complete version was available!

Depends on what you mean with "complete version". This is no recording session, it's from this:

Rewind @ www.dvdcompare.net - Cell (The) (2000) (http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=247)

An isolated score (no, not meaning a rip of the default audio stream with speech and sfx, but an audio stream with just the music) from a lossy AC3 stream. Which could probably mean all the music as heard in the film.

The isolated score on the DVD is excellent.

The volume doesn't dip for sound effects or dialogue like some other isolated scores or even trailer stems.

But, it can end abruptly/fade-instantly to end a cue for the movie.

It's very much presented as a film_mix.
A shame there was no commentary with Howard Shore.

I listened to it frequently and had an MP3 rip at one point, having sacrificed quality due to lossy-to-lossy processing.
I made it for my MP3 player that didn't support AC3.

I guess this movie is the love child of William Petersen ;) a little C.S.I and a little Mind trip a la Manhunter (what would later be remade as Red Dragon)

Anyone looking into bluray,

Get the US 2015 release.
All previous releases were from a 2009 Canadian source, US imported CDN transfer.
The CDN transfer used a 1080i broadcast to transfer to 1080p.

The Cell Blu-ray (http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Cell-Blu-ray/128551/#Review)

The Cell was previously released on Blu-ray in 2009 by Canada's Alliance Atlantis; Blu-ray.com's review can be found here.
Reliable sources at Warner have advised me that no 1080p master for the film existed at the time, and that the likely basis for Alliance's Blu-ray was a 1080i broadcast master that was upconverted.
For this 1080p, AVC-encoded Blu-ray release from Warner Home Video, a new 1080p master has been prepared by MPI, Warner's on-site facility.

So anyone thinking of buying on bluray, or already have it on bluray, it's definitely worth it to "double-dip" this one for a proper 1080p release.

Fantastic film. This complete score is a great find. Anyone who enjoyed the film, check out director Tarsem's 2006 project "The Fall". The film is incredibly underrated and beautifully shot over a four year period in 20 countries, with no CGI believe it or not. There is no official score as of yet, and it's a shame, because while it contains a lot of classical pieces, the original music is exquisite.
