I've been listening to this collection the last few nights before going to sleep. Mass Effect 1 has my favourite game soundtrack of all time and hugely influential to me musically, but until now, I don't think I've heard a collection that really showcased what I actually liked about the soundtrack. You really did a good job of capturing the mood, and the style of the game with your mixes/muxes. Thanks for putting this all together. I do believe this is my new official go to for Mass Effect 1 music!

Yeah, that track can only be found with sound effects. I got the Save the Council track from Sam Hulick's YouTube page, since that is also found with sound effects when you rip the music off of Mass Effect.

Curses. Oh well. It's better than nothing.

Just registered to download this and say my thanks. I just started another mass effect playthrough and I immediately noticed the OST isn't the same as the one in game. I'm quite curious how you managed to extract the files however. I tried with a bunch of tools but with no success. Anyhow, thank you A LOT for this !

I ripped the game's files myself (got about 182 .wav files, though two are unplayable) but you still end up with more than me... I can't find the cue that plays when the Thorian dies. :/
