This was the first FF I ever played. I think it was maybe two or three years ago that I beat it for the first time, so I was 17 or 18. It's still my favorite Final Fantasy too.

'Twas my first ever Final Fantasy also. Okay, the reason for that is that it was the first Final Fantasy RELEASED in the UK, but I won't go into that too much. I was 15 when I got the game for Christmas 1997. It was handy I got it then because I went into hospital the next January, and therefore had something to do at home whilst I was recuperating from the operation.
My first, and probably still my favourite, Final Fantasy. More or less anyway. IV might be close to it in terms of pure storyline.

I got it for something like my 10th birthday on PC after watching my auntie and Uncle play on it all the time when I went up there. Thing is my PC was shit so when it got the point where you see the first FMV of Weapon my computer froze so i didn't get past that on PC version. But after Xmas i borrowed my auntie's PSX version and kicked it's ass inside a month so I had it completed by February 99 I think, so I would've been 11 at the time. Might have been 2000 actually so I was either 11 or 12, not sure on that one.
But now i've got a good PC so I can play FFVII on PC with no worries.

I believe FF7 got alot of people addicted to the FF series. As I must admit, it got me addicted aswell :). Yes it was my very first FF game I ever played, it was about 6-7 years ago when I borrowed the game from the library. I played it for 2 weeks, finished it and decided to get the game. I was 12-13 back that time and finished the game more the 40 times since.

borrowed the game from the library.
Wow. I think the library I work at is cool, but your library must be really cool to have games like Final Fantasy VII for people to borrow.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">FF7 was my first too. Let's see, that would have been about... 4-5 years ago when my friend first introduced it to me.. so I'd have been about 11-2 I guess. Yeah, that sounds about right. ;) And I completed it fairly quickly too.

around 11 i beat 7 hehe it rhymes
10...Finished it the first time in about 60 hours, cause I was levelling up and doing many things extra as well. I finished it about 2 weeks after it's Pal release so, yeah it was fun the first time and still is.
I was 12 when I beat it (last summer). I was eleven when I started, but my first one started, the memory card corrupted so I had to start over. It was my brother's game and of course he had beaten it. As so many before me have said, it was my first Final Fantasy Game.

lesse, I started when I was 12, and finished when I was 12, it took me about a month or so to beat, wasn't really that hard, I was about 13 when I decided to try and "master" it by maxing stats to 255 and the like, I finished that after a couple months =/

Well, It wasn't my first RPG, since I played FF3 (FF6 Japanese)... But it was probably the first I beat...
I played it in 1997, I think I was 13... well, I still beat it over and over... It's still my favorite and probably will stay that way, unliss another Final Fantasy beats it... (I think only a FF will be able to do so)...
That's it...
T.W.K.
I'm a senior now and was in seven grade when I got it. Therefore I was 13. Now I'm 17. I got the game back in I think November of 1998, so I was about a year behind it.
When I first saw it at my friends house he showed me to things. The very start and the Kalm cutscene. I remember I said "what the hell are you a bunch of kids?" but he told me it was just the graphics and I complained that they were annoying. He said that "back in 1997 they were the shit," and we left it at that.
When he showed me the Kalm scene he explained to me this was the story of the game. Well he was wrong =).
Then, later, he showed me one more thing. Right outside Mt. Nibel on Disc 1. I bought the game after that and kicked its ass about two months faster than he.
