By request of Cid592 I have found the lyrics to 'Liberi Fatali' so here you go...

Liberi Fatali - Fateful Children

Excitate vow e somno, liberi mei.
Cunae non sunt.
Excitate vow e somno, liberi fatali.
Somnus non eat

Surgite.
Invenite hortum veritatis.

Ardente veritate
Urite mala mundi.
Ardente veritate
Incendite tenebras mundi.

Valete, liberi,
Diebus fatalibus.

Translation...

Wake up from your dream, my children.
There is no cradle.
Wake up from your dreams, fated children.
The dream is not going.

Arise.
Discover the truth of the Garden.

Burn with truth
Scorch the world of evil.
Burn with truth
Set fire to the world of darkness.

Goodbye, children,
From the days of destiny.

Again if anyone knows that I may have got this wrong, please say so.

I believe the song starts with "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec, Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec, Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" and they chant "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" 4 or 5 times at the end too but that's about it. I've always wanted to know them :)

It's a good song. Nice work on the translation. BTW, my Mom heard me playing this song the other day and said that it sounded like a song from some old movie or something. Personally, I sometimes wonder if she knows what she's talking about, but just for the sake of fairness, does anyone know of any other song that this one could possibly be based on?

Edited to add: I tried to get some specifics out of her, but she was just "um, ah, um," so there you go.

In the old horror movie 'The Omen" Jerry Goldman composed an academy award winning score that had lots of ominous latin chants. They were simulated "black masses" that were based off of a backwards, off-key catholic masses and they're very creepy. The main song in that collection is called "Ave Satani", and it sounds somewhat similar in theme to Liberi Fatali/Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec, but it's less sweeping and grandoise sounding and more just plain evil and creepy. Personally, I don't think that it's as good as Nobuo Uematsu's work, but that's just my opinion.

I don't know how long ago this thread was started or if you're still paying attention, but here's a potential answer to your question.
