This is one of my favorite games of all time. The gameplay, music, and the overall style of it just flat out rocks.

What do you guys and gals think about it?

It was my first PS2 game! I like it and it's a good game. The only problems were the big "cover-up" of Raiden (I'm not to fond of him but I don't hate him although Rose got annoying...), the weird, confusing storyline at the end (I got it now), and that MGS2: Substance is out which kinda sucks for everyone who has the original version...

Yeah, Rose sucks a big one.

Solid Snake was the best and will always be the best--why they used Raiden, I have no clue.

The ending was confusing, but after a few play-throughs I finally got it.

If you have no clue why they used Raiden, go watch the Making of DVD. I think the game wouldn't be good without Raiden, and personally I'm sick of "Raiden Bashers". The game itself was awesome, from the complex storyline at the end, to the action packed boss sequences and the fun filled areas, everything about the game shines.

Actually, Snake didn't play right and I enjoyed Raiden more than Snake in VR Missions and Boss Survival.

And since I don't have the PAL game, I would wanna know why they use Raiden :P They should of added the making of disc for Substance and just make it 50 instead of 40.

Hideo said he used Raiden to portray Snake in a different light, to show a crisis in the eyes of a newbie and make Snake look like even more of a hero. Snake seems so big in SoL, much more heroic than he did in the original, and that's all thanks to Raiden. Also, the last normal area in the game ~Spoilers~

When Snake and Raiden charge in together, wouldn't have been so moving if you were Snake. Best descision ever.

Now I see. Snake = Big Hero guy :P Raiden = Small n00b who makes Snake look good. :P

And I really wanted to use Raiden's HF Blade a bit more than just that very small section against the Tengus and the VR Missions. Yeah... and Snake needed some automatic weapon for fun... I mean... when the game Flash backed to what Snake did in the tanker with an automatic weapon... EVEN THOUGH it was Pre-rendered, I'd still wanna fire one and cause a mess. ;_;

Oh and anyone know where I can pick up a copy of "The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2"? o_O

this is one of my fave games ever, great graphics,amazin gameplay, story was very good tho, too confusing at the end tho dont yous agree?:confused: good replay value too
