Well, I do (and always did) think he was the cutest thing Square ever stuck into a lead role. I just adore everything about him. The arms, the hair, the eyes, the TAIL! :P

And his personality... yep, that's really what I love about him the most. He's a sweetie. And he's, like, a giant walking hormone. Hehehe. What can I say, I found that amusing.

Well then Kuro, in keeping with FFIX, I guess I'll say Garnet then for me.

Firstly, her personality really endeared her to me, all the heartache and despair she had to go through to finally be with Zidane really touched me in a way that no other FF character had done before(except maybe Celes and Locke in FFVI). Also, she's utterly gorgeous, from her long jet black hair to those sexy deep brown eyes. And a costume that enhances her figure in ALL the right places.. ooooohhhhh.. she's just too cute. How cute?

Let's just say, on the 'Defcon Cute Scale', she's somewhere between 'full scale SAC deployment', and 'seal off NORAD - civillisation is DOOMED!!!' She's just too beautiful! Ooohhhhh...

Beatrix does for me in terms of looks. I find her absolutely beautiful. Personality: Yuffie. I find her funny and yet there also things about her that I can identify with.

Well I've got a few, so I'll break it up by game.

FFVII - Tifa. She's strong, loyal and stands up for herself, but she also has a feminine side to her as well. Aerith/Aeris. She's calm and has a constant air of thought around her. A true mystery girl.

FFX - Lulu. Don't really know why I like her. Oh well.

But my overall favourite FF Character is Rinoa Heartilly from FFVIII. She acts tough, and defiant, but has her weaknesses which proove how human she really is. (Even though her limit breaks were pretty bad.)

FF7-CLOUD
FF8- Squall
FF9-......Blank
FF10-Wakka.
But most of all, CLOUD

physically: Zell. I loved his tattoo and his hair and everything about him...except for his clothes. gosh, he dressed like one of those retarded kids that don't know any better so their mom dresses them. poor guy.

personality-wise: Cloud, though he is physically attractive n his own right. i am attracted to weirdos with mental problems (please note that i don't want to get into a debate about the storyline here) and guys who have kEwL hair. o, a big sword would be a plus. ;)

Garnet, I'm a big fan, I was going through a fair bit of shit in my life at the time of first playing FF9 and with no girl's shoulder to cry on I found FF9 gave me an escape and Garnet was there to help me through ;). To this day she still has a place in my heart and I'd love a remasterd verstion of FF9 to come out in a couple of years to allow me to truely apriciate her... personality.

Tifa looks nice in AC so there's a little somthing to keep me ocupied :p

Aeris also has much better curves in AC shame she's dead... and she really was a loverly person.

Yuna from X-2 because of the curves she has if she's gaged. She has the most annoying voice and everything she says pisses me off too.

If we are counting Spirits Within Aki because she's not bad looking and I'd have some one to talk to, I mean Yuna probably isn't the cleverest girl in the world.

Tbh I'm always suprised about these things, how people don't realise that we're attracted to people who are good for evolution (accept gay people obviously). For example 1) breasts, food makers 2) clear complection + soft skin, shows the girl is fertle because a constant supply of oestrogen makes the skin nice and soft :) 3) long legs, again shows the girl is fertile because oestrogen is responsble for growth spirts (I'm affraid for us boys too)

On a tangent another evolutionary adaptation is men's reaction to children not being his... usually men react VERY badly compaired to women because women know that the children are theirs. And those men who didn't accept the children went off and had a family all of their own with another woman and those who did accept the children died (possibly) childless or their children died from desease or accedent and so childless. We can only be therefore the children of those men that went off and had children with another woman. We can see evidence of this in religions, all around the world it is a crime. It is not allowed for a woman to have many husbands but even Moses had a concubine (sp?). Still in the western world, even though no one has been charged in decades it's a crime and women can be stoned to death in some places.

That's what I always thought! To god, we're like his cartoons, and with cartoon's, they do exists, but real people are their gods, because we made them and god made us! That's the theory I always had! The only life cartoons really have is the paper, the paper has the life of wood, and what does the life of wood have, TREES! I follow you Aerith Gainsborough! There could be the real life people of the characters! My boyfriend has bits of Cloud in him, he sometimes says, "I don't care", and sometimes he can be quiet. Some people may not see things the way we see characters, but I see it the way you see it Aerith Gainsborough!

in a way they are real as personalities-cloud is as real to me as anyone on this forum-since i don't know any of u peronally u r just personalities that post here.
we read about historical figures in books and percieve them as "real", but we won't ever(probably) meet them and all we know is what happened to them in a set context. it is the same with fictional characters only that they never were living.

You don't get a full idea of someone's personality from a game, she doesn't HAVE a personality, what the hell?

Yes she does! She's positive she's helpful to others whenever they're down, poeple who don't have much of a personality wouldn't do that for anyone, so you can't just say she doesn't have a personality! I have her positive thinking, and her issues in communication. Maybee you havn't been paying close attention to the game hhmmm.

Personalitiy is the traits and stuff contributing to being a person. You can still exist and not help others when they're down and be negative.

That wasn't exactly my point, but I do have some of Tifa's negatives too: I can be demanding towards my boyfriend when I don't want to.

I think that it is hard for gamers, like us, to actually feel and experience what a character's personality is like. Since they are not real, we are not able to make that real-life connection. But, every so often, you meet a video game character who you can describe their personality. With FFX, you could feel the personality of Tidus and Yuna, because their characters are portrayed so descriptively, and they both expressed their emotions numerous times throughout the game.

I know the feelin' Smokey! It's been rare for me to meet more people like us! My sister used to keep telling me,"Stop living in your cartoons!", than she'd say, "people being the real live characters, I don't see things that way.". Some people have a harder time feeling and experience what a characteer's personality or mood is like. I've only known one other person like me in real life, and that was my best friend! I used to think I was the only one when I was little, because I used to get made fun of for it in grade school! Now that I know there are more people like me on the internet, I feel so much better now! My heart is touched!

It was easier in FF-X, because people were talking. It�s a lot of harder to get the real personalitys from just reading.

In FF-VII for example, they didn�t talk and you couldn�t see their faces. All you can do there, is watch them, how they act. You�ll know a bit more about them, if you can "read" people.

Well, i think that it is possible for a video game character to have a personality, because if they didnt the games would be pretty boring. Maybe people who say that the game characters don't have a personality probably just haven't noticed it yet or something like that.

Yeah, I guess some people do have a hard time connecting with a character's personality. But you really can't change that.

Well, technically speaking, they all <I> have </I> a personality. It's just depends whether or not we are actually able to tell what it is. With Tidus and Yuna, it was easier because Square put in a lot of detail about their personality. Yeah, having them talked helped a little, but what really made us see their personality was how they reacted in certain situations.

Another thing is. Did we see the personality we wanted to in the characters that we liked? So we basically created them a personality?

That could be true in some respects. If we don't like the personality of a certain character, we try to give them a different one sometimes, so that they become more bearable with us.

......maybe its time i gave Cait Sith a new personality.

Of course FF characters have a personality. Take Squall for example he is timid, brash and just generally doesn't socialise, that is a personality.
