I was curious about something:Lets say i want to talk about a controversial topic not because i want to start a fight but because i want other people's opinions.

Would that be allowed?

I mean:As long as i'm saying:This and that Sucks worse thing ever and the other thing is best or some idiotic thing like that, then its worth posting because its a genuine desire to know others opinions.

If you can't voice yourself on the net, then its not worth having a conversation because you aren't allowed to even voice your opinions on something.

Well depends on the topic, if its meant to piss people off than its not a very good idea. Just keep it somewhat logical and dont personally insult people.

It also depends on how you pose your question. If you go in guns blazing, you can expect some heat back. You cannot expect respect from others if you do not show respect first. If you are expecting a discussion with people whose opinions you do not agree with, you can't make it personal. You can't say, you're a bad person because you don't believe in what I do. If you start with, I believe X, and I want those who believe in Y to justify their position, you're on the road to a dialogue and not a shouting match.
Of course, no matter what you say, there is a chance for some trolling. Because no matter what they believe, some people are jerks.
Good luck,
JonC

start the fire, watch it burn.

ok, metaphor aside:
the best way to find out something is to just do it.
with this topic youve just informed everyone that youre gonna deliberately post something "controversial" and give trolls time to prepare for trolling.
