After long wait, many low quality uploads and incomplete versions on the net, here’s my expanded, almost complete soundtrack of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic!
There were many reasons as to why I did this, for one many uploads on the net were made from compressed files, others were pure game rips without any work on completing the missing cues or adding missing tracks. Another reason is that I was inspired by ggctuk2005’s expanded and complete scores for Force Unleashed games and the Star Wars Prequels.
I’ve included every single track that was in the game excluding those in bink cinematics, out of those I selected only a few I thought good enough to be on the soundtrack and not utterly cluttered with background SFX. All the memorable and important pieces are here, it’s as complete as it can be without asking Jeremy Soule himself to share original cues used in bink cinematics in clean versions.

On a side note I am working on KotOR II expanded soundtrack aswell, however due to the nature of KotOR II having much more of a mess in files, many tracks that weren’t used, restoration content to be used and many others it will take me more time than this soundtrack did.

As Andrees states below me there seems to be no basis to the naming scheme other than file names which may be arbitrary and changed by the people who included the files.

going through the recent TOR music rip I’ve noticed some of the cues from KOTOR cutscenes are in there in clean form, similar to how about half were in Galaxies’ Jump to Lightspeed. I’m willing to bet all of them are in TOR, if you’re planning on an effects-free update.

hmm, i actually find that wookieepedia track listing pretty convincing, as the naming conventions as well as order of tracks fit identically with his arrangements for other games, but i think the fan names do the tracks more justice anyway.

Could someoene upload the music files for Jump to Lightspeed? If I could track down SFX-free KotOR cutscene music… I’d simply die.
I would also be interested in the cutscene music from KotOR1 and TSL without the sound effects.
Assuming they don’t actually play anywhere I can only really make assumptions from the file names. I’d assume that mus_theme_carth was probably originally intended to be Carth’s theme, mus_bat_valsith may have been intended to be the Korriban Battle theme as apposed to the reoccurring Sith Battle theme, as for mus_bat_out, it could have been potentially meant for anywhere.
So these are the original MP3s?
Additional question: are the files on the XBox disk compressed as well?
Interested rip only the original audio CD.
P/S: Maybe you know where you can download the soundtrack in the flac format?
I saw that… People need to make sure their stuff is named differently on Mega or they will get banned on there.
