I swear, when I got to that Yu Ri Pa part of the game (which happens about two thirds of the way into the first mission), I was floored. It was the most hilarious thing I'd seen in an FF game yet.

... and people say Zidane's monkey tail is ridiculous.

Thats good if you play against the summons, no problem there. They probably still there just because its FF thus sumons are needed which i have no problem with if it makes sense in the stroy

Very interesting screens... Especially Dark Valefor (right?)... Keep them coming if you find them somewhat important (like don't post a pic of only one sphere... unless it's an important sphere...).

BTW, you can't edit than add attachments on an alreayd posted post... So in case that happens, you'll have to double post. Unless you bribe someone to post before you so you can then post with the attachment... :)

BTW: The class plate is full if u didn't see that, but as we all know u can only move one place adjacent, so those are highlighted (similiar to how on the Sphere Grid in FFX it highlighted places u could move to). Also, I'm posting what I think is kinda cool, but if you have a request for a specific screenshot of something, lemme know and I'll try to get it (I have almost every gameplay movie in existance... or at least all the ones I can get my hands on ;))

And yes, I know u guys HATE doubleposting... but I have a good reason. If someone already read it and I just edit, then they won't see it that there is something new until someone else posts again (because editing doesn't trigger the new message thing). If u do have a better idea (not meant to be rude, but seriously, if u do) I'd be glad to do that (i help admin some forums and I hate spammers too).

CloudOwnage, I noticed that some of the pictures you're linking are in bitmap format. I'm not sure if they're your pictures, but if they are, you might wanna consider GIF or JPEG to cut download times. You can do this by searching for and downloading the free program IrfanView. (It shouldn't be too hard to find, it's on most major download sites.) Then just copy whatever image it is into the IrfanView and choose the option to save it from IrfanView as a GIF or a JPEG and you're good to go.

My apologies if they're not your pics and I'm telling you stuff you already know. On a sidenote, I really wish I could read Japanese...

I have a site that can translate Japanese and other languages into English and vice versa. I used it to read some of the FFX-2 site on PlayOnline. But it won't translate pictures, unfortunately...

Possibly a slight spoiler, that is (I think, if I remember my videos correctly) the FIRST boss you fight.... aside from the dude with the shield and the other dude with the gun (which are a pair).

I'm still pretty much spoiler-free for this game. I'm still looking forward to it, despite some of the complaints about "fan-service" and such. I was just looking at a piece about today in a recent issue of GameNOW. They had it listed as #6 on their top 50 hot games to watch for this fall. They're calling it "the most bizarre sequel this side of Metal Gear Solid 2." It also says that "the production values are top-notch, besting Final Fantasy X's already astounding visuals and music." It has some pretty neat pics. I must say, I really like the idea of more mobility. I enjoyed the way you could move about in Kingdom Hearts and I hope it has more of a feel like that. That would be pretty cool.

Yah, I suppose that'd be pretty cool, and the movement is actually pretty close, considering u can jump and all... hopefully it won't include annoying platformer sections :).

By the way: if anyone wants to import it I doubt you'll be able too.. every japanese interenet store, etc. is completely sold out, and most are backlogged, so unless you know a import shop in your city, you're probably out of luck.

If you're having doubts about FFX-2, then read all 3 of these new previews cause they say FFX-2 is not going to be bad at all.

My dad recently returned from Japan with the Koda Kumi CD with the English versions of real Emotion and 1000 Words (which is a roughly translated title... it says on the cd 1000 followed by a bunch of japanese symbols)

Gamepro gave FFX-2 a 5.0 in Graphics, 4.5 in Sound, 4.0 in Control, and 4.5 Fun Factor. The only thing I can say is: What Dumb-Asses! Geez. They lowered the Sound rating cause they think some songs sound like they're from the 70's. And they lowered the Control cause they said that the platform jumping is FFX-2's major flaw! What's up with that!?!?!? If you're not gonna give FFX-2 a perfect score, atleast have better reasons for why not.

Although you never know, if the playfrom jumping stuff makes FFx-2 seem like Tomb Raider, then maybe GamePro was right.

That doesn't sound that harsh to me. I guess it certainly could have been a lot worse. It sounds like overall to me a very positive review. I generally respect GamePro more than GameNow will have to say about it? I don't subscribe to any of the game magazines, but I do check them out at the library, so I'll have to watch for that.

IGN has their review up and they gave it a 9.5! I really can't wait until Christmas now!

Oh, in case you didn't find this out, the jumping doesn't make it feel like tomb raider.. they're just trying to make the environment more interactive then just running down hallways :).

I wasn't worried about the jumping possibly making it more like Tomb Raider myself. I was hoping it might add more of Kingdom Hearts feel to the game because I liked the way you could move about in Kingdom Hearts.

Yeah, me too. It was good enough. I don't recall it being all that different from this new one, based on the script I read at the main FFShrine site.

Not that I'm saying it wasn't nice to read this new version. Because it was.

Ack! Ack! Ack! I just got to listen to the english version of Real Emtion and I HATED IT! BLEH!!!! The singer sang it so weakly!!

It is actually the only translated song i hate to date, but it will grow on me. *sigh* They should have gotten Utada Hikaru to do it, she sings in japanese and in english so beautifully *points to simple and clean*:D
