An American Haunting (2006) by Caine Davidson aka Justin "Caine" Burnett
The movie as I recall is okay but what's even better is it's score...It struck me as a first rate horror score that it deserves to be heard by other as well (IMHO) ...
here are some reviews about this score (as i cannot elaborate what i needed to say for lack of magical music terms to used..) lol
-------------------------
"Fans of the genre will absolutely adore the brilliantly polemic and wild attack pieces, plus you also get some of the cleverest and chilling underscore youll ever hear." - Score Reviews
"The composition is first-rate and its a very effective spook score, which has many moments of melodic poignancy and aggressive musical muscle." - Music from the Movies
"Pushes all the right scary buttons, hits all the right boo moments, has plenty of creepy Gothic orchestral grandeur, and earmarks Davidson as a talent to watch." - Movie Music UK
"The fact that a young and relatively unknown composer managed to create such a vast musical soundscape with distinctly brilliant dynamics is indeed admirable and offers glimpses of a bright future for him." - Music on Film
