I will point out, I fel posting this set in FLAC openly on the forum is a crazy risky proposition, given the incidents with FLAC versions of the Ron Jones set. I know for a fact that FLAC versions of this have been circulating quietly behind the scenes for at least a month now. Ah well. We'll see I guess.

Disc one up there. The dl link says it is 150mb for the FLAC. The archive for the 320 version is 114mb...without any of the art....

... And perhaps the Batman track with the short ending missing on my LLL copy.
Otherwise the mastering of this box doesn't really worth a full upload imho. Just the scores that are newly mixed perhaps (I understood Beetlejuice was ? Here again the Blu Ray isolated score will do better...) and the bonus stuff... Well well, even for free I see this whole thing like a waste of time and will stick for myself on the previous releases. As often, the first releases are most of the time even better.

When I ask konio not to mirror my links, he has respected that. Most of what I post is from the web. I see myself more as a sort of clearing house. if I don't havea request, I often know where it can be found. Without members doing that, what do we really have?
That said, yes, I am aware of where the Flac versions are quietly hiding, on sites not to be named or shared from. I just feel personally, that this is a huge profile set, very flashy. And with only one or two good rips floating around, not too hard to track......
But, as far as Konio goes, he does do good srvice for folks who (hard as it seems to believe) don't now about this site. So. I am....ambivilant about that.But, he doesn't seem to be a bad guy.

Babydoll appreciate your honesty as well as knowledge. This set to me feels like the elusive animal in the jungle (with respects to the quality we all want). Konio has kept that spark alive after the fall off of budarc. But these talks of every disc in FLAC is rather stirring! I'm excited as patient as to where were headed. Well, after the Ron Jones set got posted here, in flac, FSM became banned on the forum. It caused all sorts of problems. Now, you know, I just worry about the high profile sets being posted lossless, so soon after release. But, that's just me. I know there are other members who feel even posting 320 of new releases is too much. That is why it took First Knight so long to show. The member who had it, did not feel it wise to post it here yet. It's all a matter of opinion for now.

You could aask her. It is not part of the set per se, but a separate archive of the cover art and scans of the cd's, I think. I myself did not keep it, or anything FLAC. i just don't. BUT, knowing I might one day be permitted to share, I do have it linked at MU.

One thing I don't understand with FLAC conversions sometimes... how people can still have different sizes. I downloaded NIGHTMARE from the both sources just because and saw that Babydoll's are each like a couple MB bigger. Not that it matters to me in terms of size... just wondering why that is? I even checked the size comparison between a the exact track from one download and the other and there is a difference. Is there a difference in quality? Probably not. Still just wonder why though, since FLAC is supposed to be pure lossless.

How big is the difference ? Maybe it's due to different gasp removals...
Nothing indicates EAC besides on the couple of album I grabbed, and I spotted a few clicks certainly due to bad ripping.
There's a lot of people ripping and sharing music around and in terms of accurate quality well... It's still something that depends on who did it.
We can't complain if it's the price for having some hard to find stuff for free. I'm sure next to that, very few people know the best way to burn a CD
is to fix the burning speed between 15 and 35% of the drive capacity...
A technical board is really missing over here, and you have to repeat the same infos forever.

I am curious myself though. The files i was given are substantially larger than Konio's. Mine are between250 to 300mb, or more. Many are morelike 400mb. The few I looked of Konio's tend to be 1/2 to 1/3 of that. But, I know vry little of the tech side of things, so I dunno.

I actually have deleted most of the discs too. I kept all bonus cures, but all the demos and worktapes are gone. I still have them in my link, but if they die, meh. I wasn't terribly impressed with this set, once I dug around it a bit.

Just curious, if anyone has this collection in their iTunes - HOW ON EARTH have you Tagged it?
I'm trying to come up with a solution that keeps all the soundtracks separately, but I just want to list it all under the box set on the albums list. iTunes really needs a better system aha.
