This year already has some great games on the way. I found this article, and as it's off a game franchise I thoroughly enjoy, I'd thought I'd share it:

From 1up.com
A third Saints Row game is we've been waiting to be announced for quite a while. It was clearly coming eventually; THQ is fully behind the franchise, as evidenced by the production of a movie adaptation. The new game was officially revealed today as Saints Row: The Third.
The Third again puts you in a position of control over the Saints gang, which is dominating the city of Stilwater. The game will take you beyond Stilwater to a new city, but it's currently unknown if you'll be able to visit both locations or just the new one.
"Saints Row: The Third puts you on top of the world, right at the beginning of the game, with all the perks that go along with being the head of an elite criminal organization," said THQ VP Danny Bilson in a press release. "There's no delivering pizza, no shuttling family members about in a long series of taxi missions. Instead, you take all the power of the Third Street Saints and you take the world by storm."
Not many details about the game were offered -- it'll be featured as the cover story of Game Informer's April issue. It's suggested that the game will be just as over-the-top (if not more so) than its predecessors, which is good to hear. That charm is what really set Saints Row apart from Grand Theft Auto.

So I checked Wikipedia as well and found:

Taken from Wikipedia
Saints Row: The Third is a nonlinear third-person shooter video game, being developed by Volition, Inc. and published by THQ. It is to be released during the fourth quarter of 2011 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows systems. It is the third title in the Saints Row series, after the release of Saints Row 2 in 2008. The player controls the leader of the Third Street Saints, an international criminal group. The game world is the fictional city of Steelport, and the story centers around the conflict that arises between the Saints and The Syndicate, a rival criminal group.
All I can say... is that Holiday 2011 can't come quick enough. Mass Effect 3, Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, Star Wars The Old Republic and now this. I love sandbox titles and while GTA series is great, GTAIV didn't have the humor or comedy of earlier GTA installments. Saints Row, with it's over the top violence and humor was exactly what I'm looking for. Saints Row 2 was a vast improvement on Saints Row, so I'm hoping Saints Row: The Third delivers more wild explosions, over the top humor and, as one of my favorite reviewers Ben 'Yahtzee' Crowshaw (His review of Saints Row 2: Zero Punctuation: Saints Row 2 by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/312-Saints-Row-2)) praised Saints Row 2 for.
Time to start another preorder lol
