I managed to track down the complete score for Small Soldiers by Jerry Goldsmith (which is pretty good, by the way), but the track list is a mess!

Tracks are out of chronological order, with alternate cues interspersed within the theatrical versions. The track names might even be incorrect, but I haven't watched the film in awhile so I'm not sure on that one.

Does anybody know the correct film order? With the alternate cues last?

Now, does anyone have the 60 track complete score?

Like yourself, this jumble has been a nagging pea under my mattress for some years now. I finally decided to do something about it, however.

1. The following is the correct track sequence (in film order) for the 44 track Bootleg with, as you will note, my own track titles. As for the 45 track bootleg�I would disregard the 45th track running 6:11 for the sole reason it neither sounds like nor bears the imprint of a Goldsmith composition for Small Soldiers (frankly, I'd be shocked if it was Goldsmith at all).

2. This is not the complete score. Even the 2CD 30-30 "Complete" version is incomplete. Same goes for the 2CD 41-29 "Recording Sessions". There is approximately 10 minutes of music present in the film you won't find on any of these releases, notably: "Firebombing the House", "Helicopter Attack/Struggle on the Telephone Pole", the various odds and ends, spliced together, comprising Alan's rescue of Christie as heard in the film, Gil Mars's pay-out appearance at the end, along with other brief cues.

At most one can compile a 58:57 long film order album from the 2CD "Complete" and 2CD "Recording Sessions". One might substitute the superior sounding tracks from the 44 track version where applicable, while also including "Alan and Archer" from the Varese release which would play between "Home From Work�" and "Vandalised Store". Similarly, substituting "Assembly Line" from the Varese release would obviate having to edit out the "Riding to Work" alternate.

Yes, I can confirm it, because I got it, some month ago, don't remember how. Was looking for a Complete of Small Soldiers. Of course, I easily found the simple CD (Only 8 little tracks), the 44 Tracks Expanded (Thanks a lot, gururu, for the tracklist in order! It really helped me! Good job!).

I'm working on these Scores, now, and it's a real mess. Thanks to the work of gururu, my 44 Tracks version is now ok, but my ''Recording Sessions'' (40-30 Tracks!), it's more complicated. Indeed, there was no titles for the tracks. Only "Title 1", "Title 2'', etc. Thanks to the tracks chrono, Il could name the tracks thanks to this tracklist :

I find nothing, anywhere, about this version of the score and neither about any tracklist that could exactly match. I think I'm going to consider the 15 unamed tracks as Alternate (What they must be).

Now, my goal would be to create a good Expanded Score (Almost Complete, for Complete is impossible, like gururu explained) based upon the two versions (44 tracks & 55/70 tracks). But, for that, I shall know exactly the chronology of the movie (I own it in DVD, but I have to watch it again for that). It's pretty hard. Of course, if I succeed in this projet, I'll upload it, if you're interrested!
