May I also request in your thread (since I was about to make a thread for this game) that whoever has the CD(s) could a FLAC/lossless rip of them.

Thanks if you can.

There is a japanese release already on the forum. It is the sane exact thing, here is the link: Thread 84053

Thanks, though a FLAC rip would still be very highly appreciated. Makes a huge difference in the orchestral tracks, with even a decent pair of headphones.

That's the format from what the CD gave I believe. iTunes might give out ACC. You can convert it if you want.

I've been searching Google and Filestube every single day for a lossless. Tracks like Planet Wisp really do shine in FLAC, but I've had no luck so far.

It's a shame, because judging from the gazillion musicians added to the credits, the music literally makes up the pride of the game! Violinists, celloists, et al, are all listed.

FWIW, there's a FLAC gamerip of Colors somewhere on this forum, but of course the game audio isn't as good as a CD. When playing Colors on headphones, the sound's dynamic range (how much the music & sfx 'pop out') is nowhere near as good as Mario Galaxy. It's probably heavily compressed in-game, making a FLAC gamerip somewhat useless.

Thanks Digi :). I actually had that before and you're right, it was very compressed. The problem with FLAC is that you are limited by your source. It really is an amazing soundtrack though :)
