Legend Of The Lost - Angelo Francesco Lavagnino - 1957

As a young lad of 9, I recall watching this movie with my Dad one afternoon back in the day, when T.V. showed movies at all times. I do remember him saying that this one was special for a few reasons. He had actually been there, at one of the shooting locations. Leptis Magna, in Lybia.

My Dad was a civil engineer back then, who travelled the globe building things. He helped with the re-building of a US airbase there, later named Wheelus Air Force Base. He told me about the old Roman city during the commercial breaks.

My Dad would have been 93 today. He has been gone these last 21 years, and not one day goes by that I do not think of him.

This post is dedicated to him.

Could someone upload it to megaupload, rapidshare, mediafire or other? Zshare doesn't work for me. It would take ages to download it.

Thanks in advance.

I'm usually okay with zshare; but this file only gets to a few hundred K then terminates. Repeatedly.

I salute you Honoured General, ‘tis indeed a fine evocative and, at times, eerie score. Thank you also for the copious information and pictures – you have put a lot of time and effort into it. Your dad would be proud of you.

" When the government fears the people, that is freedom. When the people fear the government that is tyranny."
- Thomas Jefferson

"When a government takes over a people's economic life it becomes absolute, and when it has become absolute it destroys the arts, the minds, the liberties and the meaning of the people it governs."
-Author Maxwell Anderson (1888-1959)
