Hey guys,

I recently got accepted into Emerson College(yay!), and I will, of course, be bringing my trusty game consoles-Wii and N64-with me. Now, I'll need to have games that I can play with my roommate and friends, whoever they may be, and I'm sort of at a loss for good ones at the moment. This has also been a bit of a problem when I have friends over. I have the staples-Smash and Mario Kart on both consoles, and Goldeneye and the Mario Party trilogy on the N64. So, I need some new material. What fresh and fun multiplayer games for the Wii, Gamecube, or N64 can y'all recommend for me?

Perfect Dark, Conker Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong 64 (though not so good IMO), wcw/nwo revenge and Mario Tennis come to mind for N64.
Phantasy Star Online, Gladius (if you and your friends are into tactics rpg) and Wrestlemania XIX and F-Zero GX for GC.
IMO Wii has only garbage apart from Super Smash.

I'll post more if I remember. I miss my childhood playing N64 with my friends :'(

I have most of those, though I'll definitely look for Mario Tennis, F-Zero GX, and one of those wrestling games.

any mario party games.
for when you only have 1 other guy with you, COOP games like obscure the aftermath is a good choice, or umbrella/darkside chronicles

Hack your Wii and play current games.

There's loads of fun multiplayer games on Wii. Look here (http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/Wii) and see what you like.

Wait, don't you have to buy some expensive chip to hack your Wii/PS2(If I'm actually bothered to buy one of those)?

Haha...nope!

You can software hack both!

Wii is easiest, just because it's basically using a SD card and a rented game (that's how I did it).

You just hack the Wii through the SD card now.

you will also need one of the following:
brawl, lego indiana jones (first one) or zelda, but this one is trickier as im told the newer discs dont have "it" (the thing needed for the hack)

Really? Cool, I've got an both SD card and Brawl, so I should be able to hack it with whichever method.

Hack your Wii and play current games.

Or simply take an axe hack your Wii to pieces with your friends... also fun.

Congrats on getting into Emerson. :D That's a really good school.

Most of my party games have already been mentioned: Conker's Bad Fur Day, GoldenEye, Mario Kart 64. Although I'd add Worms 64. That's a lot of fun, too.

Why would you do that? The Wii has lots of really good games.

Thanks, Arthur! Anyway, I managed to hack my Wii, and it's been very fun- particularly with Brawl. However, I've had difficulty with setting up a way to play current games on it. My firmware is 4.3(which negates DVDx and a number of other programs), so it's been difficult to find an online tutorial that fits my needs. Any suggestions?

Try this guide 4.3 SoftMod Guide (http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/66601-4-3-softmod-guide.html)

Wiihacks is probably the best site to go to for advice on softmodding your Wii. If you need any other advice, be sure to search around there first :)

wiibrew is better. its a wikia (and source) of homebrew apps for wii. (including soft mod)

I've never really found one to be better than the other. Wiihacks is good because the guides are pretty much the same as those on Wiibrew, but you've also got all the comments which might help with some problems you're having.

If you're looking for information on more specific things, Wiibrew is probably better.
