Amazing!!! Thank you so much for the rip! The vocal song is beautiful (except for the mic misshaps of Kanon singing too loud :P )
Also, I've heard the vocal song is called "Toberu Mono" which means something relating to flying or something. I can't wait for the release!!! :D

It already has been officially announced to be 40 tracks long so I guess these are going to be long songs. :D haha

It hasn't been announced yet but if you check the FFXIV soundtrack page, you find that there is a spot for another CD, implying that it could be the official soundtrack. :)

ff 14 isn't bland at all. it has a wide range of genres including some new fusions.

FF14's OST was..very bland. Not even in comparison to Nomura but comparison to OST's in general. I dunno if it had to do with the fact FF14 was an online game or not, but even so I've heard online games with better scores. There was just...nothing out there with FF14, even the instruments couldn't compliment each other for the most part. They were horribly mixed together, didn't help at all. Even then his compositions were very just...there as well.

Hmm.... gotta say, I'm disappointed with what I've heard so far. Mostly bland, with one track that I only liked the first 10 seconds of, and I'm fairly certain the beat in those 10 seconds is something Uematsu used before. However, I'll wait for the whole thing to be released before I completely judge it. :P

Sounded fine to me. Granted I haven't heard much of Uematsu's other scores aside from his FFs, but I thought the scores for The last Story sounded beautiful.

So far the soundtrack is better than Lost Odyssey.

true, but to me most tracks long outstayed their welcome, and with the battle tracks it felt like some drum patterns underneath showed on semi-close listening, plus i missed (small) pauses, and this tends to strain the ear over time. but if you didn't feel that way, the better for you, maybe i should take another look in a few weeks

Better than Lost Odyssey would be pretty damn hard but I hope you are right.
These tracks are certainly awesome enough for me to order the soundtrack.

im impressed with it. i like canons theme, last battle, manamia's theme, battle theme, fragment.

they're all powerful stirring and would work well in a story game. the sad tracks made me feel sad and i haven't even played the game.

i also like the just the violin and flute sounds as opposed to a full symphony.

the vocal piece is good. a strong wandering song with an enchanting voice.

the singers name is kanon. she also song the theme song for guin saga ''this is my road (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_eddZOmYG8)'' also composed by uematsu.
