This exquisite compilation compiles together 46 rare and unreleased tracks from Judy Garland's 15-year tenure at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios and includes songs that were shortened or deleted in the final release versions of films she appeared in, songs from soundtracks that had not been released at that point (some of which still haven't been released), and was the world premiere release of most of her recordings for the aborted film version of Annie Get Your Gun. (A few additional recordings would surface on the film's soundtrack CD in 2000.) Made from the best surviving pre-recording elements, this collection is a must for any Judy Garland fan, but DON'T expect to find "Over The Rainbow" or "The Trolley Song" here - those would be part of another Rhino compilation two years later devoted to her classic film songs, Judy Garland In Hollywood.
