WinAmp can play FLAC files... so no worries! Worst case, you could always convert the .flac to .mp3 or .*anything*.

I think you should be the one to calm down. Also it depends on the mp3 player itself its not my problem you just can't find the time to find a player that supports FLAC which many do or convert the files which many players/application converters offer. If i want to upload to a particular format that is my choice, its not my problem if the end user doesn't understand how to play/convert a certain format.

to be fair though, I don't see why they'd refuse to upload mp3. if the conversion process is apparently so easy...

If the poster uploads their rips in a specific file format Flac for instance and unless they said they were going to do a secondary upload in lossy then that should be the end of the argument. And besides those in a tare over Flac can use other programs to covert to lossy so stop hassling our boards uploaders...

Any idiot can convert flac to mp3 mate, it ain't rocket science, i just don't want to.

But be reasonable. Think about it. If only just 10 people want to convert to mp3, then that means every individual has to do that. Whereas if you do it, and put up a link, you save everyone's time.

Personally, I feel like it's the uploading that's the hassle. That's probably why he only does flac.
I mean flac is the best and then you just Google a converter and convert it to whatever.
It's really not that hard... Use Google. You're on the internet. Use Google!

As someone who also game rips, it's the upload that's the hassle for me. When you can only upload at a max speed of 50kbps (when no one else is using the internet, not to mention if the connection dies, you have to upload the whole part again) it takes a while. And if you're some masochist like me, you'll upload in 3 formats to keep everyone happy...
