Now, this will be unusual...
These are the original audio files from Uncharted 2 Demo (when I get full game - again, I'll see to rip it, but that won't happen anytime soon, and OrangeC already did the full rip).

THESE FILES CANNOT BE PLAYED STRAIGHT AWAY! PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST

I really didn't even try to convert them, so they are native XVAG files, just follow these steps:

-install 'foobar2000' music player (it's freeware btw), google it or just take it from this link:

-next, download this:

It's a vgmstream plugin for foobar with all dependencies (the stuff needed to run the plugin). Now you want to unrar the files somewhere. Next, open up folder where you installed foobar2000 - default is C:\Program Files\foobar2000 (or C:\Program Files (x86)\foobar2000 if you have 64 bit Windows) and within it open 'components' folder (look at the pic)



Put all of those four files you unrared earlier in that folder (picture again)



-Finally here is the link for XVAG files, download and unrar somewhere:

MY UPLOADS HAVE RECOVERY RECORDS, SO YOU CAN REPAIR CORRUPTED RAR FILES (WITH WINRAR)

-If you have opened foobar2000, please close it, and open it again so that the plugin can be loaded.

-Now choose 'File> Open' or 'File> Add Folder' whatever you prefer and locate where you have unrared XVAG files, and attempt to play them, foobar should start doing it :)

Please remember the files are taken straight from ps3 hard disk, with their original names and looping ability (the game likes it that way) and some have 2 channels, some 6 channels.

Also you now have the awesome VGMSTREAM which can play shitload of native game audio files, so the xvag is just a fraction (teh picture)



Oh and foobar doesn't necessarilly reads xvag file properties accurately such as bitrate, so don't mind that.

how about XVAG files from God Of War III Demo? demo contains music, which not included in main game :-)

Been looking for Uncharted music for quite some time, so this is awesome! Especially since the full Uncharted 2 uploads are down!

I almost feel embarrassed to ask, but how did you get the xvag files? I would love to be able to do something like this myself, but I'm getting lost in the abundance of documentation on general jail breaking alone..

God of War 3 demo? I'll see what I can do. And about how I got the files: I've connected pc and ps3 with normal ethernet cable, on ps3 end installed homebrew application 'ps3 ftp server by blackb0x', next on pc I have 'WinSCP' (I guess any other pc ftp server will work as well) app installed so I can see the contents of console's hard drive on the computer. Logically, game demos and jailbreak game backups are stored in
'devhdd0/games/'
so then I find the folder with Uncharted 2 demo and music is stored in a file of suggestive name, and it has .psarc extension which is really just an archive; next, by using ftp server you can copy any file from ps3 to pc (and the other way around), so I copy what I need; there's a tiny utility called psarc extractor or something like that

just have to drag & drop transfered psarc file onto the executable of that utility and it will immediately extract all of the files in the archive. (I also think you need .NET Framework 4 from Micro$oft) I hope it's mostly clear.

Oh, the transfer: network connection on ps3 must be enabled (but no signing in to PSN), console must be in jailbreak mode, blackb0x ftp server started so you can see ip address which you need to manually enter when you start login window of WinSCP and type port 21, no username, no password, but ftp connection must be checked.

Thanks for the explanation; you actually managed to make it sound a hell of a lot more comprehensible for me right now :)

And naturally I jumped in with both feet, although I have to admit I skipped the jailbreaking part, due to the fact that my PS3 is not actually at my house XD
It works like a charm though; got the music.psarc file of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune from a torrent and managed to extract the xvag files and convert them.
Now have to play a game of connect-and-edit-the-dots and hopefully there will soon be an extended U:DF soundtrack!
