Boy, talk about a conflicted character. Sephiroth had to be the most convincing bad guy in a game ever. He was so mental, he was creepy. He was an awsome chartacter and the best character in FF7. So, Who else likes him or dislikes him?</font>

Sephiroth was one of the best villians in a FF game... so sly, played a lot of mind games through the course of the game, had control, and was evil... what more could you want in a villian?

Sephiroth is pretty cool. Even Cloud wanted to be like Sephiroth. It's just too bad Sephiroth uses his power for evil.

Obviously the outright best character in ff7 and the undisputed best bad guy in the ff series!

I would also like to mention that it would be hard to find a cooler badguy in any game to date!

Sephiroth is probably the reason I love FFVII so much! Not only is he my favorite villain, but my favorite character as well, and I do agree with Amy, he wasn't really evil, but I could go on forever about that theory:)

There is so much about sephiroth that is unanswered, that I'd like to see some sort of FF game based around his exploits during the period that made him famous as the best of the best.
Being told lies your whole life it bound to give you issues, and he had 'em in spades.

Definitely one of the most memorable characters of any game to date.

I don't believe he was pure evil, either. He was confused, and used destruction as his way of solving it. My favorite villian to date as well.

Sephiroth may be a villian, but he is one of the best final fantasy characters ever made for final fantasy. Him by far is the best bad guy.

...definitely without said....Sephiroth was the best villian ever....he had looks..brains...the outfit..the best damn weapon a villain could wish for...and he had a very strange background...too bad he used his powers for the wrong side.....he would have proven to be a most excellent ally..but he proved to be a very skilled adversary...

But I have to say that if he was an ally it would have let down the game by not having a good villain...also I dont think he would have been as cool if he was a good guy!

yeah, because if he was a good guy the game would be way too easy.

He'll never be stronger than Cloud, though. Cloud remains to be the best. Afterall, Cloud does kill Sephiroth. Sephiroth would be strong as an ally, but Cloud is still stronger. The whole point of making Sephiroth strong was so he could be a better villain. But however strong they made Sephiroth, he was still nowhere as strong as the weapons, nor Cloud.^^

I the whole game, I think Sephiroth's Masamune Blade is the Best looking Weapon, If only Cloud could use it...

If anyone knows how to do this please tell me, mabye there's a patch of some sort?

He's OK, but Reno was a more decent villian:D You were expecting that answer, sure. And the Masamune is nothing compared to the Electric Rod:)

Without Sephiroth FF7 wouldn't even be close to one of my favorite games. However, he was in there so FF7 is one of the best. I didn't really care for Sephiroth until...

He killed Aeris. When he did that I couldn't forgive him. I had to kick his @$$ in a final showdown. You knew how evil he was and I loved him for it.

Yeah, but I think Sephiroth will easily win (he quickly killed Tseng, the Turks' boss). I don't really care who's strong, however, I like Reno because his attitude is simply awesome

Sephiroth was a great character. He just looked and sounded the part, with a coll, methodical way of doing everything.
I don't think he ws evil, though. To take a quote from 8, 'There is no such things as good or evil. Just two sides with different opinions.'

He was ultimatly the best Villan ever to be in a Final Fantasy.

I remember always wanting to see sephiroth after my friends had told me about him because they were further in the game than me. I remember when i first did that past sequence with cloud and sephiroth, and sephiroth was dealing like 3000 hp i was in so much awe! i wanted to be that powerful and cool!!!!

yes, he is level 50, witch is awesome, until you reach level 99, well, i was kind of like that also, i wanted toi see him, everyone was always talking about him.

I have to agree. Sephiroth's the best Final Fantasy villain I've come across, and probably the best villain in video gaming history. The way that he twists the discovery of the true source of his power to make himself akin to a God is done slowly and very well.

In the final battle one-on-one between Cloud and Sephiroth, I don't believe that Cloud is stronger than Sephiroth. I just see Cloud as being really angry with Sephiroth. That's why the limit meter just builds up and up and up, and then Cloud unleashes Omnislash. I believe that Sephiroth is equal to Cloud in strength during this battle, but Cloud has the reason to kill him.

Yeah I have to agree with you, he is ok, and without him in the game FF7 would not be as good as it was

I always say this, but Sephiroth is the best villain from any game ever created, let alone the FF series. He's just so cool! He's a mental, creepy, bad ass! I think he's great!

We think the same CeeJay... also in my opinion, he reached the Highest Class in SOLDIER witch is a good backround for a character for power like Sephiroth.... He IS THE MOST Ultimate Villan ever...

yea that and the time when he (SPOILERS)Killed Aeris(SPOILERS)... man that was just awesome, it was just so cool.

i don't know if he's the best villan ever. at least, not the most evil. don't get me wrong, FFVII is my favorite of all games, but i think kefka from FFVI is much more of a villan. he poisons the river and kills a population just for the hell of it. seph did what he did cause he went crazy. but he is hands-down the most clever and deceptive villan.

Sephiroth is COOL, but that's all he is, cool. I don't think he's the best villain because he was rather weak. Why didn't they make Sephiroth a least half as strong as the weapons? Sephiroth's best attack, the summon, only does 9998 damage. As if that isn't enough, you can kill Sephiroth with just ONE omnislash...

no, you are chacing a clone of sephiroth the whole game, the two you fight before hand are clones but the last one is the real thing. That is what i understood...

Yeah, i think he was a great boss it took me ages to be him the first time i played ff7 granted it was the first game i ever played but it made it all the better since i like things that are a Challenge

Sephrioth is awesome. He is so complex. He is dark and rebelious, but he has so much carizma at the same time. He is dark and cool at the same time!!:p :p :p :p

Sephiroth was the first FF character I ever fell in love with. There's so much things I love about him. I believe square had developed him really well. As I went deeper into the story, well I couldn't help but cry for him. Especially the ending.
You just have to have pity for him.

FFVII would not exist or be the game it is today if Sephiroth was never created. he gave the game that need to play (?!?) Kuja was also good but the worst evil dude had to be ultimencia. this was a poor end to FFVIII. i havent finished FFVI yet so i cant comment on Kefka yet......

Sepheroth was a great charecter, especially since he had the Masamune...

agreed. 100%. hes ssssooooooo hot. i think maybe im a bit too obsessed w/ him. (i have pics of him all around my room an' i carry one w/ me)

It make you wonder what really happened and what he read in that library, but with out Aeris' death, he would have made such a cool ending


I think the reason why he is so cool is because in the game they promote him as such a superior and Cloud as inferior, then when cloud sees him in the end and gets pissed

Sephiroth ain't really cool. He's not my favorite FF villian, Kefka is ofcourse ^_^ Kefka is a true mad man genius, unlike Sephiroth who is evil, but not really dark evil. Sephi is just evil and lost his charm after I found out about Kefka.
