Hey all. Back with another High Quality release, only featured in FFShrine and MDK Releasez.
Here are the notes, personally ripped and encoded by me, any problem or help needed just comment.
Also, plz give credit/rep.
Enjoy.

NFO:

--- FantaVision European Original Soundtrack

----- Ripped from .INT files - PS2 PAL Version
------- PS2.FantaVision.PAL.DVD5-MDK

FantaVision, a game that initially was developed to simply be a tech-demo,
later evolved into quite a really good game.

So, here you have it. A rarity itself. Enjoy.

The name of the original filenames is included in the comments of each file.

The files EBGM10 and EBGM11 are not correctly named because,
honestly, I never manage to pass the Stage 3, so I'm not shure
from where they are. Credits or Ending perhaps?
Anyways, if anyone knows, let ME know. Thanks.

|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\|/-\

Processes:

Extracted INT files from DVD-ROM.
Converted INT files to WAV.
Converted WAV files to MP3.

MP3 are @ 192Kbps, encoded with latest LameMP3 ACM codec.

Alterations performed at all musics:

All WAVs converted to 192kbps MP3 files.
All processes executed using GoldWave v5.57.

Proundly sharing a high Quality release.

Hey, is there any possible way that you could tell us how you converted the .int files to .wav files? D: I'd like the US soundtrack myself, personally, but I can't figure out how to convert those files from the disc!

Hey, that's easy my friend. Of course I'll tell you. =)

First off, let me just say that both the US OST and JAP OST where released to the shelves. I have both of them, and infact, I downloaded them right from this forum.

About the converting... .INT files are the so called .BGM files of the PS2 games... So, all you have to do, is google yourself for: BGM2WAV (http://consolecopyworld.com/psx/psx_utils_prg.shtml#BGM%202%20WAV) and you'll easily get there...

Stay cool.

I was 13 when I first played this game and fell in love with this music, especially for the last two levels track. I've been looking for this ost since then and it is today, 7 years later, that I can finally listen to it. I cannot thank you enough. Really, thank you a lot, you made my day!!!

btw...

You say you got the US OST from this forum. Could you tell in which thread? Because yes, I have indeed found the JAP version, but I can't manage to find the US one not only here but anywhere in the net...

Again, thanks :)

Hi there,

I recently ripped the USA soundtrack from my own disc. I'll upload it for you when I get home in about 5 hours, if you're still interested. Watch this thread!

I'd be grateful if you uploaded it. Thank you. It doesn't have to be today if you have no time, tough. :)

Well, I can't seem to be able to find the US soundtrack around here... Here's the Futarino version (I think it's the JAP one): Thread 45491

Hmm... Maybe I downloaded the US version in another forum... Nevertheless, DanteGrovyle, if it's still cool with you, I second the download request. Now I have my doubts about the two OSTs that I have and I want to confirm the one that I think it's the US version, but it may not be. Thanks.

@tino: No need to thank me that much. :) I'm happy enough sharing and knowing that my shares are entertaining someone besides me. XD

----------------------------
UPDATE: I found where I downloaded both the soundtracks... It's an external link, so I'm not shure if I can post it because I may be breacking some rules.... But... I can say what to search on Google I guess... So, Google this:
(OST) FantaVision Soundtracks Collection‎

It's the first URL that appears on the google search.

There are 2 soundtracks. One is japanese. the other I assume it's USA... But now I'm not shure anymore... Hence my "second that" on tino's request.
----------------------------

Thanks.

tino

If you dowloaded that one then it's not the US version. It's... well I don't know what it is xDD but it's not the US version. Those soundtracks are very similar, i'd say one is a remix of the other, but check this video to hear what the Us version sounds like:

YouTube - Fantavision - Stage 5: Moon City (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfQNZ-fSLOo)

Except for some stages where music is techno, in most stages is new age/chill out music. The versions you have are more like elevator music, am i right?

Here's a link to the version of the FantaVision soundtrack that was used in the Untied States version of the game.

FantaVision (United States) Soundtrack (http://www.mediafire.com/?k113x23t951g3)

Cheers! It's only 192 kb/s MP3, but it's the best that I could do. They sound great! (If these songs are your kind of thing. Which they are to me. =]) It appears that when I assigned album art, I used the Japanese album art, but that's only because the US soundtrack was never released to the public.

@tino: Thanks. Anyways, I'll compare the one that DanteGrovyle supplied us with the two that I have and check them out.
@DanteGrovyle: Thanks for the link. :) Maybe you should consider opening a new thread so that each OST is on its own topic. ;)

Cheers. (thumbs up)

OOOOH YEAH THIS IS THE ONE!!! Worry not about the kb/s nor the album art. Oh, stage 3 is so simple yet so fantastic!! And well, 7 years looking for both osts and I got both today!!! You made my day, guys!! ^^

Hey MDash, dou you see the diference now?? I've just recalled: the Futarino Fantavision is another game relased two years later, but only in Japan, so the Futarino Ost has nothing to do with the original Fantavision.

Well see you around here!!

Well, I don't have the WAVs but I have the original game, so It's easy to recover them. I always have the tools around, all I have to do is insert the game DVD and rip them again in like 5 or 10 minutes. But If you're looking for something similar to FLAC in these WAVs, I don't assure you that they are lossless. Since the original WAV files where converted to BGM to be inserted in the game, it's possible that when they where doing the game, the BGM format, I dunno if it's lossless or not.... :S

Still, I guess I can try to upload the WAVs, but it's gonna take some time, because my net connection hasn't been in it's best nowadays. XD

But just for curiosity, why do you need the wavs? =)

Cheers.

Well, you kinda hit the nail on the head. :) I love this soundtrack so much (and I'm quite the audiophile) that I was hoping that I might be able to get the .wavs so that I could get it at a higher bitrate. I didn't want to bother you with it, or seem the least bit ungrateful (because I'm not) so I figured if you had the .wavs I could just do it myself. I understand that they might not be "lossless" but they would still be lossless as far as the game is concerned. They would still be exactly as heard in the game.

If you want to take the time to upload them for me, I'd appreciate it. If the .wavs are too big for you to upload I would also very much appreciate a 320 kbs version instead if that would be an easier, smaller upload for you. If not, then that's cool and thank you for sharing!

Hey, no prob. ;) I'll get the WAVs and up them for you... But not today though... It's already 10:12 PM here and I'm gonna see a movie with the family. XD But if I have the time, maybe tomorrow (Saturday) or Sunday... Probably Sunday since I'm home and I'll only have to look out for my daughter since the girlfriend is working. =D lol

But yeah, If my Internet connection doesn't fail me, I'll put them around here Sunday ASAP. ;)

Anyone have this version of the Japanese OST? SVWC-7060 | FantaVision Original Soundtrack - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/157)

Only has 14 songs, it was released in 2000 and isn't the same as the one that came out two years later (Futari no FantaVision).

I have to apologize to everyone for necrobumping this thread, due to certain circumstances, I lost a lot of audio files and I'm trying to retrive the most I can.

So I was wondering MDash, if there's not much trouble for you to reupload the European OST, pretty please? I' also have to apologize to you because I already asked you last year, but I would appreciate it a lot.

Sorry, but the EUR ones we're ripped directly from the GAME source files, and those are already compressed, so, there's not really any point in doing a FLAC version of this...
Also, It was a long time ago and the tools and method I used are long forgotten, so... XD
