This will not get many comments, because this album isn't big and flashy, noisy, and full of electric guitars and power anthems. It is utterly sublime, though. I admit I went into this thinking "Oh no, drab piano arrangements" and let's just say I didn't have much faith that whoever arranged this would actually be trying to evoke Chopin... but they really really did. It's easy to say "In the style of..." and conjure up a bland facsimile of another artist's style. That's not at all where this album is coming from; in the greatest spirit of the word, it's a wonderfully unique interpretation of (mostly) Joe Hisaishi's music. It doesn't just show off the skill of the arranger - like any good arrangement, it allows the music to shine, views it from another perspective, and highlights (as if such highlighting were needed) just what great works they are in the first place.

Whoever the original uploader is, thank you most sincerely... And thank you, Sanico, for putting this up somewhere where I could see it. :)

This is a gorgeous album! I love Chopin myself, and I can definitely hear the influence in the arrangements, particularly track 2 (my favorite). Thanks to the uploader! I also found an album by the same performer, which is similar except it is (Chopin-inspired) arrangements of various Disney songs. If people are interested, I can upload it in a separate thread.

This is truly one of the most amazing OSTs ever there for Ghibli songs ! Gave my ears the calm and the sophistication of chopin fantasie impromptu op. 66. I am so hoping that I can listen to these piece on live performance one day
