*For each track marked by a star in brackets, I would like to find a more specific name. There are multiple tracks used for each Sector, so "Sector 1 ", for example, doesn't really say anything. I would like something more specific like "Sector 1 [North]" or a special name like "Kihunter Hive [Sector 1]" if it was used in a specific spot for a specific reason.
Any help is greatly appreciated! After everything is named, I would like to put everything in proper order, too.
[b]Organizing Everything:
In the spoiler box below, I have what I've done so far towards putting all tracks in order by appearance in the game. If I'm unsure about a track, I will note it and make it red.

"Chilled Island" is the track for what is officially called the Sector 2 "Experiment Floor," the very snowy room where you battle a Groganch and find Maurice's body. I'm not sure why it's marked as "Chilled Island," though. Each sector has an experiment floor (track 61, for example, can also be called "Biological Experiment Floor"). I don't think the Sector 3 floor has its own music.
Also, I thought tracks 98 and 99 were the same, just with varying time between the music and heartbeat. Could easily be wrong, though.
As for 29 and 30, I had been assuming that 29 was the actual MB guardian boss battle music (pre-credits) and 30 was the post-credits individual monster version.
Still unable to ID those other cinematic and stage tracks. This is the trouble with such an atmospheric soundtrack - things don't really stand out. What I don't understand is why it's hard to place Stage BGM 4 - that has a recognizable little tune in it.
Anyway, happy to be of what service I can again.

Thanks for clearing up the whole "Chilled Island" thing. I guess that it's just such boring ambiance and the fact that it was only used in one room that I don't remember it.
As for tracks 98 and 99, I may be able to title them once I listen to them again. I just watched my friend get up to the battle with MB (before I left his house) so I should be able to. I may be able to title other things, too, because I watched him start all the way from the first Rhedogian fight.
For 29 and 30, I think you may be right. I think the best way to find out is to look up a video of that fight.
I also have some titles that I missed when I first made this post, so I'll be adding them.
EDIT :Yes, track 29 is the fight with MB.
Tracks 98 and 99 are different, but only a little bit. Track 99 is a slightly cut off version of 98. As in, the third part of the music ends short. I don't know why, so maybe they are the same thing?
And I was wrong, you have 29 and 30 backwards. after watching the video, the sound effects at the beginning of 30 are when the first Desbrachian lands in front of Samus in the MB fight.
And I was wrong, 99 is not when MB dies. I don't know why I thought it was...

You might wanne check out TimmyTurnersDad youtube. He uploaded a lot of the songs (except the event songs) and has tagged a lot of them already.
That's where I've gotten most of my tags from. Thanks for pointing him out, though! I do keep an eye out to see if he renames one of the songs.
EDIT : I would just like to say that I have so far put 23 tracks in proper order (I think)!
And I have a question... I was thinking about reuploading the soundtrack when I get it completely tagged and arranged. What I always do (to save HD and iPod memory space) is modify each loopable track down to one loop, five seconds of the second loop, then a 10 second fade out. If a more complete version doesn't appear soon, and I reupload it, I just wanted to know if you would want me to keep it just the way it is, or edit it down the way I mentioned.
(I do hope a more complete version comes soon... I don't care if the missing pieces have voices, I think that adds to the track!)
EDIT 2: At the time of writing this edit, I have come across a couple new track names, which I will be adding to the first post. Updated tracks include:
11. Avalanche
22. VS. Ghalmanian / Asborian
56. Sector 1 (Biosphere)
59. Sector 3 (West)
I'm also trying to remember the name of the room where you fought Ridley, because I was going to add it into track 23, "Stuck".
TimmyTurnersDad has the Volfon battle music labeled as "Sector 2 Battle". Can someone confirm if it is also used in Sector 2?
EDIT 3: I added a new track:
24. VS. Nightmare (Unmasked)
...And that means all the "battle" music has now been tagged!! I can predict that the stage music could take a little bit, and without the cinematic music being uploaded by TTD, that part is all up to us! I know we can do it!
EDIT 4: (This is the most times I've edited a post ever before! :) ) New track titles:
66. Title Screen [Alternate]
67. Title Screen [Alternate] (short)
EDIT 5: 63. The Mystery Creature's Remains
EDIT 6 : TTD has track 65 (Stage 30) named "Search the Exit!". Does this play when you're looking for where the Mystery Creature escaped after you fought it? I'm going to hold off on adding this to the first post until I'm sure of what it is.
EDIT 7: Here are two tracks I missed putting in the first post back when I originally wrote it:
53. Main Sector
96. Exam Center (Sector 1)

I've just asked TTD about EDIT 6 and he said it played when you're looking for the exit right before the Ridley fight.

I've just asked TTD about EDIT 6 and he said it played when you're looking for the exit right before the Ridley fight.
Then when does track 23 (Stuck) play?
Maybe track 65 plays during the cutscene, and track 23 plays when you're actually looking around. That's just a big guess, though, I'd have to check.
EDIT 1: Just checked, and I was right. Track 65 plays when you're looking for the exit, and track 23 plays when Ridley destroys the bridge. So, here are the new titles:
23. Ridley's Appearance
65. "Where's the exit at?"
23 is debatable, I don't really like "Stuck". If you don't like what I've changed it to, then suggest something different (I'm trying to think of a word that's similar to 'appearance' that might be better for the title). That goes for all other tracks, too: if you don't agree with a name, point it out and make a suggestion.

Maybe for 23 you can call it: Ridley Revived?
Up to you though.

TimmyTurnersDad has updated a video title, so here's a new track title:
57. Bioweapon Research Center
And, I have come up with the title that I originally wanted for 23:
23. Trapped in the Geothermal Power Plant
I think this fits better that anything I could have come up with for something with "Ridley" in the name. But that's still a good title, Arigeitsu159.
EDIT : I'm currently in the process of getting cutscene audio (with voices) from YouTube videos, and I may end up uploading them at some point.
EDIT 2: I have changed two track names! I feel that the new title better fits the scene it's used in.
47. Load Game
71. Adam Malkovich and the 07th Platoon
EDIT 3: Two new names:
03. First Person
70. "Galactic Federation...?"
EDIT 4: I have gotten the audio from a few of the earlier cutscenes, which I will add to the soundtrack, starting at track 102. I was only planning on using cutscenes where the music itself isn't available yet. The one extra I included is from when she discovers the body of the lab worker in the breeding room, when "Dark Intelligence" plays.
EDIT 5: New title!
68. Death

08 is the theme that is heard when you first approach the main elevator.
74 could be called 'Any objections lady?' or Briefing as you currently have it. It's an amazing theme though as is the cutscene.
58 is a good title, 'Leave the rest to me Adam' could also work.
I am happy with the work so far, i'm sorry I can't be much help other than this. I noticed my soundtrack is missing 101. Credits could work instead of staff roll.

The credits track is available separately, back in Jessie's thread. And for track 34, I've never really known what to call it, I think it's tagged differently on every soundtrack I have. But the one I've used most, for the Prime series, is "Mission Final". And my credits music for all my games are pretty evenly divided between "Credits" and "Staff Roll".
I guess all the tracks you mentioned really have multiple names they could fit under... except track 8.
EDIT : I'm going to add/change the following names:
08. Approaching the Main Elevator
34. Mission Final
58. "Leave the rest to me, Adam."

Which track is "Desperate Situation"?
Oops, sorry, I forgot to update the first tracklist. "Desperate Situation" is my new title for track 11, since I noticed it was used in more than just the avalanche. It was also used in the elevator shaft-of-doom, as I call it. :) I'll go update it now!

Thanks. I'm glad that someone is making the effort to rip this OST; it's noticeably different from other METROID soundtracks, but does that make it bad? No, I don't think so at all. If anything, I found it to be a refreshing change of pace; it suits the tone of the game very well and doesn't feel like a betrayal to the franchise at all. The game itself is also great.

The music from that part is in there, just not the whole piece. It's track 69. And I didn't bother getting the rest of it because of all the ship noises in the video I got it from.
EDIT : I'm adding to the title of track 14, because it was also used during the training sequence at the beginning of the game"
14. Training / VS. Vorash
AND I'm updating the second tracklist to add this track to it. I'm also going to remove the numbers because it'll be easier to add things to it, like now.
EDIT 2: Okay, I know I said I was removing duplicates... but I was thinking about duplicating battle music where necessary to reflect the boss that would appear at that point in the game. For example, the "VS. Goyagma / Nightmare" track would appear once earlier in the soundtrack among tracks from Sector 3, then appear again later, around where the fight with Nightmare takes place. Does anyone think this is a good idea? I'll only do it in the final uploaded soundtrack if people want me to.
Zorglorfian
09-22-2010, 07:28 AM
I like that idea! I've wanted to do that with my other soundtracks! I vote yes but you should name them twice in the instance that they're used. For example, have "VS Goyagma" and then later on have "VS Nightmare" just cause :D
Awhite172

I think if the music plays twice you should only have the first instance of it rather than adding it again. So yeah i'm against that idea.
Also I did see your first post, you've edited it and you seem to be mentioning the music within the cinematic cutscenes, confirm to me what these are...how are you able to extract the music without the narratives?

Thanks in advance! I'd help you guys myself, but I don't have the game "yet".
So... spoiler alert?
As long as we're looking for discussion, I do have a question. When you say you weren't able to extract the music from the whole audio for some of the cutscenes, is that because you don't have the technology to do so, or because it isn't possible to do so? I'm not very familiar with the process, but the tracks that play during the cutscenes were some of my favorite pieces. I'm particularly fond of
"Young and Naive," Anthony's return at the end, and Samus' thumbs up to Adam, but my favorite piece in the game was Adam's departure (everything between "Approaching MB" and "Leave the Rest to Me, Adam"). But there is an awful lot of shouting going on in that part.
All the same, thanks so much for all of the work you've put into this project, I really liked this soundtrack, and I'm happy to see a more complete version here than what I've found previously.

Hello! I thought I'd help out with this project. It's looking good so far! I've been hooked on the game, so I'll be trying to figure out some of these tracks.
Right off the bat, I can tell you that 09 plays after performing the QTE dodge for Vorash's first attack on Samus in the first visit to Sector 3. "Vorash Attack" should be a good name for it.

Thanks for the replies!!
@McGlynn : As much as I would love to do that, I actually don't have the original file names anymore... besides, if you follow this tracklist by number, it's the same as the original titles. What I mean is that track 23 here is track 23 in the rip.
@someotherdude11 : You're right, we don't have those because we don't have the power to remove the voices.
@Banjonator : Thanks for that! I'll add it right now! :)
I'll also throw this name out there again... Kyratian, or whatever it's supposed to be... it was referred to as something you fight. But what the heck is it?
EDIT : I've put more tracks in order in the second list. They are bolded. I would really like to know if I have put them in the right spot. So far, I've done about half the soundtrack! But without titles for all the other stage music and the few cinematic pieces, then I won't be able to finish, so I really need help there.
Banjonator
10-19-2010, 03:21 AM
No problem! Oh yeah, the Kyratians are those creatures fought in Sector 2 that use electricity and power themselves with electricity (so that they glow yellow).
Even though track 58 has been figured out, the title of it doesn't seem to roll off the tongue. How about "Samus's Resolve"?
Also, I noticed a slight difference in track 99 from 98. Same song, but the bass is deeper and there seems to be more instruments towards the end of it before the heartbeat comes up, which makes it a little more...exciting, so to speak. Dunno why there's a difference, might look into this later.

Sorry for a double post, but I BELIEVE I figured out what Track 52 is. It seems to play in the few halls on the way to Phantoon in the Main Sector. In fact, I'm pretty sure of it, but someone else can double-check, since my TV has pretty crappy sound.

I checked on this, and you're right! Thanks! I think I'll call it "Main Sector [Epilogue]"
EDIT : Adding to the organization area. I can't stress how much I need people to look that part over and make sure I haven't missed something or made a mistake!
EDIT 2 : I have a new track name, but I'm not really sure about it: track 92, "Following the Deleter". I named it based on the mood of the track, and because it falls between "Near Miss" and "Madeline Bergman" in the rip, both events that happen before and after you follow the Deleter, respectively.

You're right, we don't have those because we don't have the power to remove the voices.
Shame. "No objections, right Lady?" was definitely my favorite moment from the game. I hate it when great music is written for movies, games, or TV, but either an incomplete soundtrack or no score at all is released.
If it means anything, I really like "C'mon, Princess" as a title. "I was so young... young and naive" is also pretty fitting, but "Any objections, Lady?" or "Thumbs down" would work, too (the second making a nice symmetry with "Thumbs up"). Either way, the entire thing already looks great.

@someotherdude11 : I agree with you on that title... I think I will change it! It also flows a little better. It was either that or just plain "Young and naive". As a matter of fact... I think I'll use both! :D
@cylex7 : So far, yes, but there's about ten or so tracks we haven't figured out yet... Either they don't have titles, or I think they should have better titles (ex. "Sector 1 [Biosphere]" when I think it should have a location/room/specific point in the game). I also don't know if everything is in its proper order, which is why I'd like it if people would take a read through it or even listen to it to see if it's right.

I'm not really sure about that track... I recently saw a video of that part, and realized that doesn't play anywhere, as far as I could tell. Maybe it was when you first entered the Bioweapon Research Center? I'd have to check when I get a chance.

I also realized that "VS Volfon" plays earlier (thanks to video walkthroughs) when you are fighting 3 hoppers before you get to the main elevator. I've named it "Enemies in Closed Corridors". Is that good / correct? Thanks!
EDIT: Also, I have a distinct feeling that "Approaching MB" is near the part in the ending hallways with the rinkas? eh? Maybe?
EDIT 2!!!!!: WAIT A SEC! "VS Vorash" isn't in the tracklist anywhere! (except in the "Training") So where does it play?
EDIT 3!!!!!: "VS Ghalmanian / VS Asborian / VS Kyratian" There. Problem solved.
EDIT 4: Which track is "Following the Deleter in the Biosphere"? Is it the track that was originally called "se rtm dm45 bgm" at a time of 6 minutes and 54 seconds?

So... This is cause for doubleposting:
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service (
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TW0RVWEM)
It's organized and split up into folders for easier organization when placed into iTunes. The tracks are numbered the same as the original files, so you will need to organize them yourselves (takes up WAY too much time for me). I have made a guide for each folder as to what order the tracks are placed in. Have fun with it!
Oh, and if it doesn't work, someone PM me. :) Thanks!
Seary
10-30-2010, 08:09 PM
@cylex7 : Is that the order everything goes in? Did you include the so far unnamed tracks? Where did you put track 56, "Sector 1 [Biosphere]"? Would you be able to put up a full tracklist, or a picture of all the files in your iTunes? Sorry if I'm asking too much... I'm just getting a little excited that we're really close to the end.
Zorglorfian
10-30-2010, 09:07 PM
Thanks for the reply. :) In a rar file, I placed 11 folders. I dragged the first eleven tracks into the first, the second 11 in the next, etc. until I came up with 88. The rest I placed in the final folder, unorganized. Each folder contains a picture of that set of tracks in order from my iTunes. Obviously I don't have the cinema tracks, so those are excluded and as for Sector 1 - Biosphere, I have no clue as to where it goes... Grrrr. Ah well.
Seary
10-30-2010, 09:16 PM
There's not really much to that track, so as far as I know, it'll be pretty hard to place it.
Oh, and I have a new track name. "Sector 2 [Cryosphere]" (track 39) plays before the place with the messed up gravity, which is in the eastern area. So I've called it "Sector 2 [East]".
I wish the unnamed tracks weren't so quiet and unrecognizable! There's so little to go by... but on a couple of them, if you really listen, you can sort of figure out what sector they're from.
And if you want them, I can upload the cinema tracks I have (with voices). And as a bonus for players (such as iPods) that can view lyrics, I've set the actual words beings said as the lyrics. I've only done it with a few, but I'm going to do all the others.

I apologize for double-posting, but I came across some scans of the Japanese game guide, revealing the following boss names (or other creatures with their own music) when translated directly to English:
Kyratian = Kairas
Rhedogian = Redgear
Desbrachian = Death Bulk
Gryptian = Gript
Ghalmanian = Garuman
Kihunter = Ke-hunter (technically the same)
Asborian = Asborow
Groganch = Guruganjee (technically the same)
Namihe & Fune = Namihe & Fuune (again, technically the same)
Volfon = Volfon
It's also interesting to note that the "little bird" is named just that in the Japanese game. Why is it that we get all the unusual names? :P
If anyone has the English guide, would you be able to tell us which set of names matches? I'd really like to use the English localization's names.
EDIT : Nevermind, I found the English names. We're already using them... :D So, let's just say the above was for fun, 'kay?

@cylex : Sorry to burst your bubble, but no, there's nothing new. I wish there was! I want this to be finished so we can all fully enjoy it! It's so hard to name those last few tracks!
EDIT : I'm working on things right now... let's see how much I can get done!
EDIT 2 : New titles:
04. Item Acquisition Fanfare
41. Water Area [Sector 1]
63. The Mystery Creature's Remains / Geothermal Power Plant
64. Pursuing the Deleter
89. Another Man Down
92. On the Hunt for the Deleter
93. The Creature’s Cry
I'm not sure about 41, that's what I read in a comment on TTD's Youtube video for this track. I also checked to see if it was really used in the Exam Center (original title), and it's not.
"Another Man Down" was used after the scene when Samus first meets Melissa in the warehouse, and is on the elevator. It's the short bit where we see the Deleter knocking a frozen body into the lava of the Pyrosphere.
"The Creature's Cry" was used in the same scene, when Adam is telling Samus that the Mystery Creature's cry is making the creatures go crazy.
EDIT 3 : I need people's opinion on something... in the final upload, should I replace all of the cutscene music with no voice with version with voices? For example, there would be no track "Dark Intelligence", just "'I felt something in the air...'" because their music is the same.
Or, should I have one upload of all but cutscene music with voices, then a separate upload of all the cutscenes with voices? You'd be able to download both or only one, and they could work together or separate.
Or, should I make two versions altogether? One without voices, and one with voices but no voiceless versions (like in the first option)?
Any suggestions?
Zorglorfian
11-08-2010, 08:29 AM
Yes to the final option. You should make one with voices, one without... Also... MAYBE there could be a mixed option, perhaps? Thank you for your months of hard work and dedication to this project. :)
Hope to see this soon!
Seary
11-09-2010, 12:44 AM
@cylex7 : I've been thinking of a mixed version, it's just that, for me, it's difficult to come up with fitting track names that fit the overall flow with the rest of the track titles, and just sounds good in general. I've named all the cutscenes by now, but I'm still not sure. Perhaps we could come up with a system that has all voiceless-cutscene tracks (a.k.a. the entire original rip) have names that don't use a quote from the scene, leaving cutscenes to be determined by the fact that they'd be named with quotes. For example: "'Leave the rest to me, Adam'", which plays after Adam destroys Sector Zero, is not a cutscene. Maybe it could be something like "Samus's Determination" or "Eye-of-the-Storm Clarity". Yes, I know the second one is part of a quote, but it would be something like "Brace for Impact" in the way that that is the general idea of the track.
The only thing I'd be concerned about would be size. Right now, I have 561 MB of stuff, and even though that does include duplicates, the actual size would most likely still be over 500 MB.
Other than that... we still need names for the last few tracks!! They are tracks 7, 38, 45, 48, 94, 95, 97, and 99 (but I am convinced that 99 is a weird duplicate of 98). We also still need to identify where track 56 "Sector 1 [Biosphere]" was used.
All in all, I think that if we really, really try hard, we can get this done by this weekend.
Zorglorfian
11-09-2010, 02:44 AM
@Seary:
I actually like the quotes from the game used as tracknames, it makes this sound more official. I support the idea that (to combine the cinematic and instrumental tracks) quotes should be used for the cinematics and original titles for the instrumentals.
I also think that there are too many "deleter" tracks (tracking, pursuing, etc.). I believe that "Pursuing the Deleter" should be called "Any objections, Adam?" (with quotes) as I think it would highlight an awesome moment in he game as well as deplete the "deleter" tracks, but then again, that's just my opinion.
Also, does "Sector 3 [Pyrosphere]" have a name? Cause I watched a walkthrough and I think that it is used in the Blast Furnace Observation.
Hope we can get this done by the weekend! (but seriously, bgm m stage 04 needs to be tagged :P )
Thanks again!
Seary
11-09-2010, 11:35 AM
@cylex7 : I would swear "Sector 3 [Pyrosphere]" has played in that big room with all the lave, where Vorash chases you when you first go there. I could be wrong, or maybe there was a little glitch that caused it to happen....
As for changing instrumental track titles, I have come up with a few:
65. Searching for the Exit
70. Galactic Federation on the Bottle Ship
90. Ridley's Appearance
That leaves track 58, "'Leave the rest to me, Adam.'" Should I go with "Eye-of-the-Storm Clarity" or just "Eye-of-the-Storm"?
I agree with you on "bgm m stage 04", that little bit at the beginning is bugging me that we can't recognize it!
Zorglorfian
11-09-2010, 06:12 PM
@Seary:
"Eye-of-the-Storm Clarity". Eye-of-the-Storm can mean anything. Thanks for the new titles, and also, do we have both versions with the part where Samus freezes as Ridley appears in Sector 3? I also think that "Approaching Sector Zero" should be changed back to "Deep in the BIoweapins Research Center", but that's just me.
I also think that there are too many "deleter" tracks (tracking, pursuing, etc.). I believe that "Pursuing the Deleter" should be called "Any objections, Adam?" (with quotes) as I think it would highlight an awesome moment in he game as well as deplete the confusion of having too many "deleter" tracks, but then again, that's just my opinion.
What do you think?
Seary
11-10-2010, 11:50 AM
@cylex7 : Okay, I'll go with "Eye-of-the-Storm Clarity"
And I've changed "Pursuing the Deleter" to "Any Objections, Adam?" without quotes, just because I want it to fit the pattern.
As far as naming cutscenes with quotes, I think I've done a pretty good job. When I get more time, I'll post what I have. But for some of them, I like the quote-less title so I put it in brackets after the quote, for example: "'Behind closed doors.' [The Story of the Bioweapon Project]"
Zorglorfian
11-10-2010, 06:05 PM
Thank you for renaming that track. For me, that's one of the best quotes in the game. Also, could the cutscene before Adam... [sniffle] dies be called "No Objections, Right Lady?" or something like that? I feel that it would highlight an emotional part in the game as well as tie it in with other tracks as well as the Fusion quote, cause the "objections" thing is really mentioned a lot as well as the thumbs down / up. Adam's Resolve is a good name for the musical accompaniment as well. :) You're really doing a great job with this. Keep up the amazing work! (BTW, we should totally tag DKCR after this :p)
Seary
11-11-2010, 10:19 PM
Sorry I didn't answer sooner, but I've been away from the computer... anyway, what a coincidence! I actually already named the track you mentioned "No objections, right, Lady?" And I also did a little something else... for some of the original cutscene names (without quotes), I put them in brackets after the quote. For example: "'Stop!' [Death of Melissa Bergman]". For some of them, I like the non-quote title too much to get rid of it! :)
I think I finally have a name for track 56! I think it plays somewhere in the southern part of Sector 1, before you reach Fune and Namihe. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
EDIT : I changed a title!
84. Entering Sector 3 (originally "Where's Madeline?")
This plays when you jump down the big hole, following the Mystery Creature, after Adam orders you to do so. In the movie version, it literally comes right after the command.
Zorglorfian
11-12-2010, 03:31 AM
Thanks for the new titles!
Also, you may want to rename "VS Volfon" as it encompasses many other fights such as this one (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLPsSuudXiw&p=BBB0A3DB0B8B6942) (2:00 into the video). I call it "Enemies in Closed Corridors". If you have another / better title, fine by me.
Also, this video (YouTube - Metroid: Other M Walkthrough - Part 5 (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8O7-d55ggU&feature=related)) shows the Unmasked Nightmare theme at 9:35.
OMGOMGOMG. The unknown Sector 1 Biosphere track actually happens after the elevator cutscene after sector 3, where Samus talks about Adam's lack of communication. It "replaces" the Sector 1 BGM for the time being while you are hunting the deleter. We should change the 6:54 length track to be called something about Adam's Communication or something of the sort and change track 56 to be called "On the Hunt for the Deleter".
OMGOMGOMG AGAIN!!! The track "bgm m stage 04" segues into "bgm m stage 14" at 1:30 in the stage "bgm m stage 04", so what we're looking for is probably a cutscene or something...
The Sector 1 Underwater track is actually the Biosphere Test Area. Sorry.
Any target date on the release of the tagged rip? (this weekend?)
Thanks again!

With Stage tracks 4 and 14... everything after 1:30 in track 4 is identical to track 14.
I'm not sure about the unknown Biosphere track being the "...Deleter" track. I figured out what the 6:54 track was by watching a walkthrough.

It's been over a week since there has been an update... I'm prepared to say that the only reason we can't name these last few tracks is simply because they don't have a name, and didn't show up in the game; either that, or they could be alternate versions of tracks that are in the game's data but were never actually used. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case, since tons of complete game rips out there have unused tracks.

I just KNOW I've heard the first half track 38 (Stage track 4) somewhere in the Biosphere. The only problem is that I don't know where! And I know the second half was in the Cryosphere (because I remember standing in the room with the two Kyratians, looking for the missile expansion, while it played), but I think we somehow have this track tagged... maybe this part is a duplicate?
I've gotten a hold of the original raw files and the tools to use them... I'll see if I can find something new.
EDIT : I didn't find what I wanted in the raw files... but I did find some of the cutscene voices with no music. The stuff I didn't find is from the pre-rendered cutscenes, i.e. the 9-minute scene when Adam enters Sector Zero, or the opening to the whole game.

This is my second double-post, and I apologize... anyway...
Who wants me to upload what I have now, completely tagged and numbered, as the final version, leaving the unnamed tracks out? Or do some of us still want to hold on a bit longer and see if we can figure them out?
I played last night, and I ran all around Sector 1, and I never came across the music at the beginning of Stage 4. I wonder is it only plays pre-epilogue?
EDIT : I can also just upload all unnamed tracks separately, and people can do whatever they want with them.
EDIT : I remember hearing track 48 (Stage 14) last night while I was playing. Unfortunately, I wasn't really paying attention for this track, and I was in Sector 1 and Sector 2, so it comes from one of them. Based on the sound, I'm thinking it came from Sector 2.
If I took a wild guess, I would say it plays in the southern area of Sector 2, up to the Gravity Manipulation area. And I think I may have been looking for Stage 4 in all the wrong places... could it possibly have come from Sector 2? The only reason I think that is because, after looking through all the tags, we really only have one Sector 2 tag: "Sector 2 [North]" So, if I'm right, then we now have "Sector 2 [South]". Can someone please confirm this for me?
On a side note, about the game... Has anyone noticed that, from the Main Sector (e.g. if you do all the epilogue stuff like beating Phantoon, then end up back at your ship), due to some unknown event in the game, you can now only go to Sector 2 from there? Either that, or I keep missing a door. :)

I came across a fully-tagged rip of the soundtrack here: Music - Metroid: Other M (Metroid Recon) (
http://metroid.retropixel.net/metroidom/music/)
It's not as complete as ours- they have 108 tracks, and at the moment, we have 130. I'm going to see if I can find a match between one of their tracks and one of our unnamed tracks so I can finally get this thing done. That page has Stage 4 listed as an unused track.
EDIT : I got 2 tracks we were missing from that site (one from the beginning of the game, before you meet the soldiers, and the ending when she's in her ship with Adam's helmet), and I finally decided on a new title: "Sector 2 [South]" for track 48. Now the tracklist has come up to a huge total of 133 tracks. I also removed the track "Unathorized Presence" because it's actually a duplicate of "Main Sector". I can't believe it took so long for one of us to figure that out! That now leaves us with 132 tracks, which I will upload at some point tomorrow and post it here when it's done. I'll upload all the unnamed tracks in a separate folder. I'll also include a couple different versions of the album art I made at a resolution of 600x600, the default size that iTunes uses.
And now a random piece of trivia: during the escape sequence, when the computer says how much time you have, she says "5 minute until detonation" or "3 minute until detonation". She never says minuteS!
