Here is the Metroid Prime 2 Echoes Original Soundtrack that I have remastered for everybody to enjoy!

I copied the music streamed from my gamecube into my equipment and that into my mac using Audacity.

Now, I added 3D Stereo Surround Sound, Stereo Ambience (More Detail, you can hear so much more, it's incredible), Stereo Depth (seriously, you can feel the sounds around you and it feels like they are there. Each sound has it's own texture), Studio Reverb (which by the way is out of this world!!), Optimization for loud speakers and headphones alike (sound amazing anywere played, even on cheap Apple headphones),ambience, A generated separate and crystal clear thumpin' sub-bass channel, then added it into the original files and listened to each song 10 times to listen for any audio masking or distortion, optimized so accurately, that if you turn the volume up all the way, the sound waves are rendered so perfectly, your ears wont even hurt, you will just hear more!!!! (And get a big headache) You only experience this effect with top-of-the-line speakers and a high quality receiver. And last but not least, I separated each sound in a certain space in the "Sound Room" that is created in your headphones so you get a "Graphic Audio" type effect. I didn't make the sounds go too far behind your head because that is not natural. You hear things better when they are in front of you, so why make recordings the opposite? I also added a dynamic booster which made things just overall better, and I used a compressor, which turned up the volume on everything that was under -24 db so you can hear more.

This is THE MOST AMAZING and hi quality remaster of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes OST that you can get close to on the internet and that is audiophile recommended. The highs are so clear and crisp that they make you flinch, while the bass is incredible and is almost a punch in the gut. Especially with a sub. These recordings take your hardware and push them to the limits.

All of this was rendered with analog processors, no computers or digital stuff, and recorded into my mac at 24-bit 196khz sample rate hi-fidelity quality, then down-sampled to red-book standards (44.1khz 16-bit).

This will blow you away! Try comparing these to the original ones.

All the more reason not to lose any additional quality by downloading a lossy version of an already low quality stream, IMO.

Your Metroid Prime remaster was pretty good, so I'm content to wait.

Being one of these guys who likes Echoes more than the first Prime game (I also like Majora's Mask more than Ocarina of Time), I've been waiting for any type of FLAC version of the soundtrack. And now you deliver a remastered version - thanks a lot mate!
Sadly I don't have the hardware to make the most out of flac releases, but this will undoubtedly come in handy for the future. FLAC is an archive format after all.

Nope. If you want the OST you have to rip it from the game or use the USF files and render them. Problem is, I have no Earthly clue how to do such thing, and I don't have to time to make a game-rip in lossless.

The same with echoes, but my friend made me a game-rip in lossless for me. ^___^

What I'm actually going to do is remaster the entire trilogy and remove prime 1 and 2's threads. I'm going to remaster all three at the same time so they all sound identical (I have a new mastering technique) and end the trilogy with a big bang! Expect it in a month or two!

It actually doesn't matter that much as I am actually almost finished with a new project. I'm remastering Prime 1, 2, and 3, so you will get a more precise remaster of this album soon! Keep an eye out for a Trilogy release soon!! :)

I'm not sure myself, but I have an idea, seeing as I converted the files from the ISO to FLAC and gave them to him. And I pretty much gave him the last songs from the entire trilogy (in this case Metroid Prime, since I gave him 2 and 3 already), about 2 days ago. I don't know how far exactly, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's more or less finished right now.

That sucks... hopefully if we wait patienly he will come back and upload these... because Metroid Prime 2 music would be AWESOME to hear in high surround quality! Well... all of them would!

From what I've gathered from VMs, he was in the process of finishing up the Metroid Prime Trilogy remastered and it wouldn't upload at all and I think there may have been a hard drive failure or something happened with his internet, disallowing uploads or he couldn't pay for the internet. It's also possible something may be wrong with his health.

This soundtrack (in this topic) will be redundant since he's done a new remaster, which as Darkshadowmark has said, he was trying to upload. Hopefully he's spent the last 7 weeks or so, trying to get an internet connection.

If anyone REALLY wants this soundtrack just google a place called 'Metroid Database'. They have been around since 1995 or something and have soundtracks/OST's for every metroid game released, all the way from gameboy to wii.

I know what it says, im just saying that if someone just wants the music and dosent care about it being "remastered" like i did when i found this post and were discouraged when it was on megaupload they can go here and still get MP2's music.

But chances are they already have it, which is all the more reason to want a remaster, since they know that if it sounds good normally, then the remaster should sound even better.

Hello all,
Assett1 has simply left the entire forum and website because he felt he had committed so much that he was simply unable to work up to his expectations he had created.
I, his mentor in audio has retired in the studio environment and Kris asked me to drop by, give the news to the forums and ask if I could finish his huge project for him. Kris is now working full time in the studio with a band a week. Not only that but he is pursuing a double major in school and has found that he has little to no time to work on side projects. He said, with a small tear in his eye, that he misses you all and would like me to take his place.
I agreed that I would slowly but surly finish up his project with the Metroid Prime Trilogy and his list of other projects.
I hope you all forgive him and start looking forward again to these releases: Majora's Mask, some Pokemon Games (Fire Red, Leaf Green, and Emerald), as well as Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX.
The releases will be slow but will be done.

The sound is not bad. I am not picky with it. It sounds fine for me. I don't have alien hyper sensorial ears for it. I can say it is good enough.
