*Sorry for the double post (posted it first in Music Downloads)...kinda n00b here...*
Hiya folks,
Haven't got much to share, since everyone seems to have everything I could possible contribute.
Everything, except for the OST's I made myself, somewhere around 2000.
There was this idea that got tossed around, you know: late at night, too much coke, pizza and energydrinks, to "make our own RPG". Yeah, right. :P
I did get around to making some artwork and three OST's, heavily influenced by Final Fantasy, Wild Arms, Suikoden etc.
So, without further mucking about, here's the link for SeasonChanger I: "next-gen" (Say, PSone/two at the time) soundtrack of an RPG that never was nor will be. ;)

This is where I pull a Star Wars on y'all: part three is part one, actually. :D
This Prologue was made last and intended as the first one in the series on the SNES.
For this, I used standard soundsets like in the SNES and it's a bit like Lufia/Illusion of Gaia/Lunar. (Okay, Lunar's not SNES, but you get the general idea ;) )
Come to think of it, it feels very similar to Lunar the Silver Star. (For Sega CD)
Enjoy!.

I'm checking out your stuff. Downloading the one from the First post. I'll be sure to post what I think of it once it gets done and I can listen to it.

Okay, I've taken a listen to most of the tracks, and while some of them were REALLY good (Quiet Night springs to mind), I had a real problem with most of the rest of the soundtrack. The way I want to describe it is almost "hollow" sounding. Like it's missing a very important aspect of it. A lot of the tracks lack any real melody to them, some of them seem to be just comprised of random notes and sounds, especially the battle tunes.
That Quiet Night song is hauntingly good though, I really dig it.
It's not awful though, and I can't claim to be a masterful composer, so. You know. I could be wrong.

II is downloading now, I'll take a listen to it in the morning and tell you what I think. I'm not really hearing the Final Fantasy influence in it, their soundtracks were always melodically driven for the most part.

I listened to these awhile ago. My major problem about it was it lacked soul if that makes sense. The lack of a melody was noticed. Don't give up though, some songs were good. Just nothing amazing.

"Lack of melody" is just plain bullocks.
If you don't like it, it's not for you. If you do, fine. ;)
